Capital One calls 5-6 times a day. I DO NOT and HAVE NEVER had a Capital One account or credit card. Phishing scheme obviously, hoping to have cardmembers pick up. After calls every day, I will spit in the face of anyone trying to get me to sign up with Capital One.

I have Call Blocker, but these crafty devils have been bypassing this number with 2nd and 3rd party toll-free and o/o area numbers, to leave irritating voicemails on my cell.

Calls 3-4 times a day. Capital One with "important message about my account." I do not have a Capital One account, and I have never had a Capital One account. Because of this harassment on my cell phone, may Capital One rot in hell

If Capital One is calling you or someone related to you (child, parent, or spouse) didn't pay a bill. If you never had a card you need to check you credit  report because someone stole your info.

Ok, I rarely comment on forums like this, but felt compelled to speak up after reading some of the more aggressive comments.

I understand it from both sides. I struggle financially as a single mother NON-STOP and can relate with the choice of feeding family verses paying my bills... BUT, I am not about to play victim. Yes, life sucks and times get tough financially and during those time I get calls incessantly too. Yes, providing for family is of utmost importance. However, blaming a company for trying to collect on a debt that I undoubtedly racked up by my own doing isn't exactly fair. The company isn't in business as a charity. There has got to be a certain amount of personal accountability here. Life sucks and times get tough, but I challege any complainers to look at the purchases made that put you over your credit limit or the way money has been managed that didn't allow payment to be made a couple months in a row (because they don't start calling with just one missed payment, I know first hand).

Look at the purchases... were they ALL necessities? Chances are, the answer is no. But even if they were, the real challenge is to look at the fact that credit was even available in the first place, as a BLESSING. If you don't want calls, do your best not rack up the unnecessary debt to begin with and do everything humanly possible to pay on time reminding yourself that accepting the card, means that we accept the terms for paying back the loan... which exactly what credit cards essentially are, pre-approved loans.

Granted it is easier said than done sometimes, but reality is that an honorable person honors their debts and if they must endure tons of calls because of going through particularly hard times... well, just treat every call as a reminder of the blessing it was to be able to make the purchases in the first place and rest on that until you can get back on track!

I get daily calls from this company, even on Sundays. I've fell behind on my payment due to moving and the holidays and
have begun to catch it up and they are not satisfied.  I even requested that the account be closed and I continue to make
payments until paid in full and they didn't do that. I do not recommend this company to anyone if you don't have an account with these guys don't get one.

I DO have a capitol one card. I always pay at least the minimum but most often I pay off much more. I have NEVER missed a payment or paid late. I also have not come even close to maxing out the line of credit.

I've been getting these calls about 2 times a day for the last week. They always call during non business hours; before 8 AM and again late in the evening around 9 or 10 PM. I don't pick up number I don't recognize, I instead let them go to voicemail and respond accordingly in a timely manner. But I have not called this number back because I'm so confused.

So, that being said... what the f***king f***k is this??
How do I get this number to stop calling my phone? I've tried calling Capitol One customer service but since the wait time for an operator is always longer than 30 minutes, I haven't actually stayed on the line long enough to speak with someone from the company.

    Suggestions??

I do suggest everyone contact the actual Capital One Fraud Protection  . Please contact a real legitimate  customer  service  representative at this phone number
1-800-427-9428 or 1-800-239-7054. Please explain  to the customer  service  representative  you keep receiving numerous  calls from this phone number 1-800-955-6600 and you never had an credit card with their company, or your  behind in payments. Also, report suspicious  e-mail if you believe  you have received  a  Phishing e-mail that claims to be from Capitol  One, forward  the suspicious  e-mail to abuse@capitalone.com.

How rude of you. And to post anonymously, too. As I can tell, most of the people posting here are in the same situation as me... no current account with Capitol One or any delinquent account of any kind, but daily messages left by this bank.  I think were just trying to find out if it's some sort of scam call or something before we take a chance of returning the call.
