Receive many calls from this number. Usually don't answer 800 numbers. When we do, caller says they can lower interest rate on credit card. This is a scam to get your personal information!

This is Capital One. Make sure to pickup this call because it's a valid Capital One number. They called 2 times and then 3rd time left a message that they identified fradulent activity. Instead of calling this number, I called the number on the back of my card which was the same 800-955-7079. Im a customer and they told me someone in Nevada charged $150 to my card and I live in Illinois so theres no way it's me. Capital One flagged it as fradulent so make sure to call the #. I physically have the card with me so it couldve been related to Heartbleed bug. Capital One also stated that it seems like someone with a fake card used it at Walmart.

If you get this call, be sure to call back because maybe it could be someone using your social security number even if youre not a Capital One customer.

Capital one.  They called to inform us that our credit card was left at a retail store and they had cancelled the number and wanted authorization to issue new cards.

these people are scammers and fakes.  this is the SECOND time this week that I have been called by these [***] and this recent number 800 955 7070 is different from the one used the other day.  they are LYING CHEATS.   DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING.  DO NOT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE.
The other numbers to be aware of are:
800-427-9428 and some 866 number that they called to my office phone.  you can easily find it online looking for Capitol One scam numbers.

They sent me an email and included this 800 # as a call-back number.  They said they were responding to my email regarding an issue I had and when I checked it out, my email was from 2010.   I don't intend to call this number or respond to any other emails I may get.

I have received two calls with voice mail messages for somebody else, stating possible fraud, giving a credit card number that is NOT mine, a "case number", telephone # to return call. This has happened twice in past month. Our Capital One card was replaced when it was caught in credit breaches. I believe this is a FRAUDULENT PHONE CALL. The persons calling DO NOT have a foreign accent, which unfortunately, is the case in many of scams outside of the USA. It is my belief that if you call them to say it's not you and not your card, they will attempt to obtain your CORRECT card information (will claim to need it to verify identity). DO NOT TRUST THIS CALL!! I have blocked several 800 numbers already associated with this. If you ever get a fraud call from a credit card company - CALL BACK NUMBER ON REVERSE SIDE OF CARD to confirm.

I GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THIS PHONE NUMBER FROM CAPITAL ONES FRAUD DEPARTMENT AS SOMEONE TRIED TO USE MY CREDIT CARD # TO MAKE TWO PURCHESSES ON MY CARD IN NEW YORK AT A TARGET STORE. I HAVEN'T BEEN TO NEW YORK SINCE 2006 TRIED TO USE IT AT A TARGET STORE I NEVER SHOP AND TARGETS ANYWAYS

Said they are calling from Capital One and wanted me to call them back. Good thing I decided to check them out! I will be blocking them from my cell phone. Thanks!

i received a call from this number and they called to tell me that they were trying to call my husbands number but he wasn't answering and that it is important to get in touch with him because he has fraudulent charges on his account.  I called my husband immediately to let them know they were calling and to answer the call.  Now i am thinking about it and i realize i am not on the account at all.  They wouldn't have my number associated with his card.

scam spoofing Capone number. did not answer it & blocked the #.

I had a Capital 1 card like 10 years ago.  Not sure why they would be soliciting to me at this time.

Keep calling randomly, do not answer and no message ever left.

Comes up on phone as number unknown. I don’t answer these calls

He said his name was Oscar and he said he was from TD BANK.
