As regards my personal (essential) furnitures,i am planning on having them delivered to the house before our arrival so that we can settle in comfortably,you can understand that transiting cross atlantic is not easy so we are making arrangement with my  furniture company to deliver the furniture before our arrival after the rent and security deposit has been paid to you by my financier.
We will ask you for a favour here,can we rely on you to take delivery of the furniture for us when they are delivered? We will instruct the furniture company to contact you to schedule a delivery date and time that will be convenient for you to receive the furniture for us.

Just got basically the same email as those posted here but using the name Troy Peterson and a different phone number from the UK.  Just didn't sound right so thought I would do some investigating and so glad I did. Also used the name David Layton as contact info.

He's now going by chris owen, got the same email about renting. knew something was fishy about a guy wanting to rent my 1 bed apt. for 1100 a month when he's going to making 7000 a month. called Layton construction which is a legit comp. says they have been getting calls about him for the last few months. theres got to be something that can be done about these freaks. we may have caught on before to late. but he's been doing this for at least two years for what i can see. alot of people must be losing alot of hard earned cash.

for me, the scam was to hire me for "Matt" his 14 year old son who has a passion for Norwegian. He'd send me 2 months in advance, with the same cashier's check,
