Who ever is calling from this number started calling us at 7:00am Um I thought that was against the law!!!!

This is not a scam. It is actually Citi Bank. I was late on my payment. Problem is resolved and bam! The calls stop. Go online, what the deal is, and fix it. I did it online just to be safe from all of these posts but as soon as I got online and saw I was a couple days late, I made the payment and the calls stopped.

And the people saying they don't have a balance on their card need to check your terms. A lot of cards (including my citi bank mastercard) require you either use the card or make a payment on it at least once every so many months.

They never say anything, just keep calling and hanging up.  Calling 10 times a day.  The caller ID says Florence KY.

The thing is, I work in a store, and someone would have to navigate the voice mail just to get through.  Weird.

Six to ten calls a day, all hangups

Repeated calls from this number; they mispronounce my name every time. Couldn't be related to a credit card because I don't have a credit card.

I don't have any accounts with Citibank, I'm not late on any payment anywhere, and my credit score is high.  Only have a few credit cards and none are with Citi.  However, I did get a $50 rebate card when I purchased a new BlackBerry, which was issued by Citibank.  I just activated it today so maybe they were trying to reach me about that.  Weird that it doesn't appear to be a toll-free number.  They've called me 4-5 times in the last 24 hours.

I have been receiving calls from this number tor sometime. This past SUNDAY  (8/14/2011) I got another one at 8:51 AM.  No one answered, then the call wend to busy signal.  Since this call was onj Sunday, can I get the FEDS involved?

This is one of the most annoying calls!  They have called my office # at least 12 times a day.  When you answer the call, there is no one on the line, then it just hangs up.  When we called the # back, they stated that they were with Citi Bank and wanted a password!  HUH!!!  Sorry!

These [***] keep calling me. It's 12:30pm and they've called me 6 times today. When I called back, I got the recording "Citibank AT&T Universal card" !?!? Hmmm....I don't have a Citibank credit card. From all the complaints on here, it's a scam. So how did you all resolve it? Change your phone number? If this is going to happen every day, I'm going to be pissed!

I get 5 calls a day from this [***] number wanting me to input my credit card info.  I called Citi and they said FRAUD FRAUD FRUAD!

Relax, relax.  It's not a scam.  It's CitiCorp, you're late on a payment.  Call the number on the back of your card, they'll help you.

I received a call this morning from them. Contacted Citi customer service and my account is current with no issues. I gave them the number and they said it was not one of theirs. BEWARE!

They have called me literally 75 times in 4 days. I finally called back today and some woman kept telling me they were from citibank (citicard). I said ok well I dont have any problems with my card nor am I late and I would appreciate no more calls, she ask for the ph # i give it to her then she proceeds to want my address and the verification # off of the back of my card-for verification purposes of course (uhm so what was the purpose of you getting the # you called??). I hung up. I could tell at that point this was a scam. ANY VERIFICATION THEY ASK FOR JUSTHANG UP! ITS SO NOT WORTH THE RISK FOR SOME ANNOYING CALLS. I would just go with the above mentioned advise and tell them stop calling me I have already reported you to the local attorney general... Good Luck!

This company has called me repeatedly and always hang up. I called back and they asked for my phone number. No flag there yet because it's the number they keep calling me on and it's a cell. Then they asked for my name and account number. I said sorry but what is this concerning because I'm concerned that this is fraud...they IMMEDiately hung up on me. SCAM! Never ever give personal information out to any company unless you call them and you know the number you are calling. Don't even give them your name. If you have the type of card they say they are from that company, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

it's Citi Bank, if they are calling you it's becuase you're past due on your payment.

This is a scam!  One automated message was left on my answering machine asking me to call this morning.  Since the number was different than the one on my credit card, I didn't trust the message.  I called my credit card issuer using the number on the card.  They said that they are not connected with whomever left the message.  The rep checked my account and said all was in order.  Out of curiosity, I called the scam number, a man answered saying, "Citibank.  This is Matt.  May I have your credit card number?"  I asked what dept he was with at Citibank and he said, "Collections.  May I have your number?"  My response was that I didn't give out my number to random 800 numbers.  I then said, "Since you work for Citibank, I will use the # on my charge card, and just get connected directly to collections using a # that I'm sure of."  His response was, "Yeah.  Okay."  I did call the cc issuer back and talked directly to the collections dept who said that there were no problems.  I have had three missed calls this afternoon as well.  I look forward to someone calling tomorrow, so I can chew them out.

Literally got off the phone with this number showing Caller ID just a few moments ago. The young lady asked for someone by name that I don't recognize, and is not associated with my cell number anyway.

We hung up after that. Seemed like someone trying to do a skip trace and failing to find the target, who may have simply made up a number and now I got the call.

I'm going to be curious and see if I will continue to get calls for someone I don't know.

Yup...just got another call this morning...they of course, hung up without saying anything...cowards...I will not answer it again...so annoying...???...Florence, KY...???right !!

I have a Citi Bank account and I'm FOR SURE NOT over my limit. This may be a group of people who got hold of Citi Bank customer phone numbers? For sure it is annoying ESCPECIALLY at 8 AM on a Saturday morning! I hope it doesn't happen again. I am on the national DO NOT call registry888=382=1222 AND will report this number to the FCC should it happen again!
