    This is a soooooooo annoying phone number keep calling me from time to time in the past 2-3 weeks. After i pick it up, no sound is there and it got hang out. So annoying!!!

    And be careful, it's a scam number too. If you call back, they will ask you for your credit card information and other personal infor. DO NOT tell them, it's a SCAM!!!!

    It's Citi bank, When you are over your limit it is automated, It wants to leave a messsage on your machine so if you answer it just hangs up,

    This actually turned out to be a legit call regarding my citi MC auto payment that did not go through, but it did seem suspicious when they kept calling and I couldn't hear anything. I'm pretty sure these calls are coming from India, which is why there are connection issues. They didn't ask for any personal info but I still would have been wary of giving it to them.

    Got a call this morning. I think I confused them, because I've started saying "This is Kathy" when I answer the phone. I could hear someone on the line, but they never said anything. Whoever it was hung up on me without saying a word.

    Does anyone know WHY this number continues to call 4 or 5 times a day? AND -- HOW CAN WE GET THE NUMBER BLOCKED?  It is VERY ANNOYING!!  This has been going on for a week.  Even if I answer the phone, there is no answer. If the answering machine gets the call -- no one answers.  
    Does "that number" receive money for each call that it makes?

    Received 3 calls from this number today.  The first one did not answer at all.  The second one was a real person telling me my account was about to be overdue and suggested I make a payment over the  phone right then. I said I would pay in my usual way at the usual time.  The third call left a message saying there was nothing wrong with my account, but if I called them, they could tell me how to lower my interest rate.

    I have a credit card that uses Citibank as a backup - or whatever - but not a Citibank card.  My account is not due until  the 20th of March, and is paid in full every month.

    I called the number back and got a machine saying it was Citibank Customer Service and asked me to enter the last  4 numbers of my credit card, which I did not do.  I don't know if it is a scam or not, but I find it strange to get three calls and such different messages.  I never give out any info and I never pay bills over the phone.  I pay on line and have never  had a problem.

    I just suggest that you be careful - you never know when someone is legit or not.

    I thought this was a collection agency and ignored anywhere from 1-6 calls semi-daily for months. I have a Citi card but have always paid bill in full. The calls were incessant and when I got 4 between 8:30 and 10:00 this morning I got fed up and looked up the number. Reading all the posts here I was sure this was some kind of scam but when I called the number on the back of my card I was told by a Citi rep that it was them and they had been calling because someone had been attempting to access my card and was failing to answer the security questions. I mentioned that there approach at telling me this was less than ideal and asked if they could cease calling me as I had now officially been informed. Very annoying and a dumb way to run fraud control, but not a scam.

    I had over 30 missed calls from Citibank in a matter of a few days.    I don't have an account so I called Citibank's main customer service.  They verified that they did not call nor did not know why I  received calls.  They warned it was probably fraud and not to provide any personal information.  The calls continue.  I will record these calls and  in turn, harass my district attorney to take actions.

    I got *many* calls from this number also, Florence KY.  Sometimes they left a message saying they were from "citi".  

    Once when I was here and answered I was asked for our card number.  I said no and hung up, andcalled citicard who said they had not tried to call us.

    I got several more calls.  Once I talked to someone with an accent who said he worked for citi.  I said he didn't and asked to talk to his supervisor.  he then said he worked for "collections".  Finally after I asked again he put me on hold.

    Still getting calls from them though.

    I too have gotten calls at least twice a day for a while.  We have no Citicard.  Just awful!!!!!!!
