I've been receiving up to 3-4 calls a day from this number for the past week.  I answered the first 2 times with no  one on the other end.  Since then, I don't pick up the phone anymore and sometimes they leave a message and sometimes they do not.  I am not late on any payments and when I called Citibank they verified that this is not from them.
This call is coming to our home phone that we have through the cable company.  I went on the cable companies website just now, and blocked this number from calling us for free.  I can block up to 30 numbers, so if they keep calling back with a new number, I'll just keep adding it to my list. :)

If you call your phone carrier, they will block this (and any other) number(s) you don't wish to have calling you - speaking for Verizon, that is. It's a free 90-day block, and you can keep blocking. Hope this helps.

What company cont. calls you if your late....that's why they have a late fee cost, it's in the little print...and I don't have a citicard or dealt with this bank....

It's Citibank, collections.

@spfx5150:  You posted that it IS Citi Bank trying to leave a message on your machine that you are over your limit, this is pure crap; I have a Citi Bank card that is nowhere close to being over my limit AND they are calling on my cell phone which is not associated with any of my accounts...so this blows that theory out of the water.

@Citi card holder:  As stated above, the calls are coming to my cell phone which is not on record with Citi Bank so this is my theory:  The scammers are spoofing their number using a legitimate Citi Bank number so when you call the number, you will get Citi Bank (and yes, if you call the number on the back of any credit card you will, in most cases, be asked for your credit card number in order to receive further assistance)....in your case, the calls were probably legitimate but the incoming calls that most people are getting are coming from the spoofed number.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES give out your credit card information or SS # to anyone calling you....tell them you will call the number you have on file for your credit card company.

Are you kidding?  Banks love late fees.  These calls are not coming from Citi Bank. If the calls are coming from a collection agency, they are not calling because you are late, they are calling because you have a balance and you are not paying your bill.  They should not be asking you for credit card details...they bought the debt so they should have that information.

It's a scam and card company don't call if your late.......and all my bills are paid....

This number has called me repeatedly for several weeks.  They never answer, but the calls are annoying.  If I answer "English" when responding to a missed call, , they will ask me to enter a credit number, indicating to me that it is a scam.

Keeps calling in the evening every 15 minutes for the last couple weeks. When I finally answer, no one speaks, then hangs up.

Keep calling me even though I'm on the Do Not Call List...very annoying!!

I called citi and asked if I have any personal cards open.  I do not.  I do have a business line with no balance.  Then I pulled a credit check on myself.  There are not fraud cards opened.  I'm not sure what they want or why they are calling.  The phone operators have an indian accent and say they service citi specialty cards like AT&T or Home Depot cards.  Also spouted off many other citi related merchant cards.  Seems like this Indian call center services third party cards or is a scam.  Seems like a heavy duty call center to be a scam though.  They only asked for my phone number because I called with a protected (no caller ID) phone line...

This number has been calling my number yesterday I got 3 calls...I don't know anyone that has this number nor do I know anyone from Florence Ky.

I keep getting calls from this number but can't understand what they are saying and when I try to play the message back all I get is the phone number and a statement that it is not a sales call.  I don't owe them anything and have not had one of their credit cards for over 20 years.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER FOR TWO WEEKS AND WHEN I ANSWER THE PHONE NO ONE RESPONDS. IF THIS WAS A LEGITIMATE CALLER, WHY WOULDN'T THEY ANSWER THE PHONE? HOW CAN I BLOCK THIS? IT IS A CALL FROM TENNESSEE AND I DON'T WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR IT AND DON'T WANT TO BE ANNOYED EITHER.

Called today (Palm Sunday) 7 times starting at 10:56 am from kentucky> finally on call£ 7 i told them if they called one more time I would turn them into the FCC! Still don't know who they are. the phone just rings until the answerting machine juct about tp pick up they hanf up!

NOT CITI CARDS!!!  It's a scam folks.  I don't have any accounts with citibank or credit cards or

I thought so. I have no citibank accounts, and this number calls between 3 and 6 times a day. I just blocked the number.

well they still call ppl from this number its 2012 now grr WTF????
