We got a very weird call from this number on our answer machine. At first it was just voices, then music started to play, and after a minute a recorded voice came on saying "thank-you for holding", then more music for another minute, and another: "thank-you for holding", then a clicking sound and we could hear whole conversations going on, people calling people, asking to speak to people, then 2 guys laughing and one saying he told someone if he didn't pay, he'd get hit, or 'he would hit him', can't quite make out the whole quote. Then the line suddenly went dead. The whole message lasted 8 mins. I Google-ed the number and this website came up, identifying it as belonging to CBCL, a collection agency.  (Canadian Bonded something)  
Quite the wrong number, I'd say. Perhaps I will transcribe the whole message, or record it somehow to 'You-Tube" so the world can hear how collection agencies work!! Ha! Ha!

I just got a new cell number last month and they have been calling and leaving the same message every single day. Not just once but sometimes two or three times a day. I finally called them to see what/who they were. This man answers the phone...he wouldn't give me any kind of information..INSTEAD...get this...he starts demanding that i tell him my name and phone number. He was very rude, spoke down to me, demanding personal information from me...to say the least. Also when i asked to speak to someone in charge...his reply was "why, this isn't a customer service call...there is no one to complain to here. I don't have to give you any kind of information...there, how do you like that?" I had to hang up after that.

Who are these people? Obviously NOT professionals! Is there a way to make a complaint about these people? These people are not only violating peoples privacy by calling 'unlisted' numbers and harassing them. Anyone got any ideas? Please post them.

They call us each morning and today, a woman told me "You will see in December..."

The first call This man answers the phone...he wouldn't give me any kind of information..INSTEAD...get this.. He was very rude, spoke down to me.

I am very afraid by these calls.  I speak french, so I can't tell you on english spoken all details above these calls.

Please help me with that problem.

I'm getting calls almost daily as well. This is especially irritating because I have a pay as you go mobile phone.

I get a fonecall each day from these guys, asking for someone who has not, did not, nor ever WILL live at this number. On each account they were RUDE...to me this is HARRASSMENT!  They need to be stopped...but what can be done?

I get these calls all the time. It has gone on for about a year now. I have done some reaseach in to this company. It is nothing but a joke. It has been defunct a number of times in the last few years each time being bailed out by another larger credit agency. Reading the reports from past employees, They are paid very little money, find the job thru temp agencies and are left with no supervision (Hence the poor customer service).Oh might I add. I have never had outstanding debts, I have never had a bill go to collection. They have my right name, But wrong address and city. I think they are looking for another person. They know they have no leg to stand on when it comes to actually getting your money. They just hope to scare people in to paying. Anyway my advice, when they call tell them for fawk right off and that you have been in contact with lawyer. That will get them off your back for at least a few months

They have called me four times THIS MORNING. Every fifteen minutes they call (starting at 9:05). I've taken just answering then immediately hanging up so they don't get to leave an annoying message.

Same thing here but I have not called them back. Any way to stop getting calls from them?

They just called here and said "This is Icor Canada Please call 1-866-294-1752 immediately They rhymed it off real quick and if i didn't have call display i wouldn't know what the number is.  I do not respond to computerized messages.  
I usually don't answer 1800 numbers because they are usually telemarketers and I am listed on the Canada block list.  

If you lookup ICOR on here, you will find they use a number of numbers.  They don't answer their phones.  You can wait up to an hour and nothing.  One person said they sell the phone numbers to other companies and boom everyone is calling to sell you something, ignoring the canada block list.  

Who knows who they are and what do they really want?  

I have been called a few times but this was the first time i heard a message.
Hopefully they don't call back.

I get calls from them 14 times a day! From 6AM til 10 PM, and on weekends. they alos are looking for someone who deosn't live at my number, and they won't talk to me cause I am not who they are looking for.

its really the ONLY thing you can do to get anywhere, also let them know its a $15,000 fine to call anyone who is registered on the Canada NoCall list.

this number has a formal complaint filed december 24 2008, by the author of this comment, with the crtc.  these boneheads have been calling me incessantly for quite some time, and quite frankly i am getting sick of it.  so merry ....... christmas you [***]..............hell or high water these calls will stop.  pray to god i don't find your street address.  then the [***] will really hit the fan......stop the harassment................

continue to recieve calls from this collection agency; claiming to be 'ICOR CANADA' - no one at this agency is willing to provide their name, just looking for your information.....some Manager they have over there, real rude dude and not willing to help...

Maybe they should consider sending letters to the mailing addresses of these delinquent parties instead of harassing paying citizens at their homes.

These stupid people call my home at 7:15 am, I work nights and I finally had enough I told them where to go, and if they wanted to speak with me to send it by mail. These inconsiderate people need to get real jobs and leave honest people alone

The first person to answer the phone, sounded like an annoyed teenager..I hung up. I called again and a different person answered the phone. I inquired, why someone called my number and they said they were looking for Nick someone (very rudely). Told the ass, not to call this number again and that no one by that name resides here.

btw- they never state the company, when the phone is being answered. This is very odd, and oh so very sketchy!

I get calls from this number once in a while to my cell, never leave message when I don't answer.  It seems to be an auto dial station that is doing Phishing to get your personal information, they then sale it to make a profit.  They are dude on the phone & all they wanted to do is to get your name, address & date of birth etc.  I say just hang up

I had been getting regular calls on my cell from this corporation.
Call display showed this number. I called back to enquire and they confirmed they are a collection agency. I also confirmed they werte calling the wrong number. I was then informed my cell number would be removed.

These [***] deal with student financing debts as well as other. they call every 15 minutes. They call and the first thing they say is what is your sin # or phone # or address ummm hello you [***] idiot i am not giving you that info till you tell me who you are...they say i cant tell you tht in less i know you are who we are looking for..."i reply cant be important then...this is 4 times a day for a year now. CANT GET RID OF THE F**KERS NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY.

Got this call from 1-866-294-1752. I said hello. No one was there.
It was a recording saying that it was very important that I call
1-866-294-1752 right away. No one likes getting phone calls then
hearing a recording. You would think that if someone is calling
you, there would at least be someone to talk too. Not in this case!
This is an ignorant collection agency called IQor. It also goes by
CBCL. Every hit on the internet has bad things to say about these
people's methods of contacting us. I just found out that the posts
on the internet are true. Another number they call from is
1-877-503-2115. A good friend warned me not to call back to find out
what they want. they'll just give your number to someone else to use
against you. Another point is, if you answer to these calls you've
confirmed that there is someone at your number and they can continue
to harass you even more. I would think, (a toll free number) one
could use a payphone to call these turkeys back.

I got a call from these guys and they told me that I have an unpaid rogers cable bill wich is 224$ and if i don`t pay i`m going to have bad credit.what is interesting they knew my previous address from 2000.I knew it i hadn,t have cable there.So I call Rogers cable they didn,t find anything yet (I was promised they call me back)However they said that number that they give me like
Rogers Cable account number can`t be that because they have 9 digits account numbers and that one was 14 digit.So You guys think i don`t have to worry about it?
