Dialed *57 every time. ALL CALLS WERE TRACED!!!

I opted for a new phone number with a new cell phone. Unfortunately, for me, the previous owner of my number (someone named Randy) hadn't paid his bill and Icor was after him. I called them and told them that 'Randy' no longer owned the number... it made no difference.

So, after researching the number and Icor, I called Rogers Wireless and complained about the Icor calls. Rogers directed me to call Icor and tell them that Rogers had told me to tell them to stop phoning me!

WHY should I have to do that?? I am paying a lot of money per month for two contract cell phones.

Anyways, I called Icor again. I told the man about getting a new phone and a new number. I told him about phoning Rogers to complain about the Icor phone calls.

I told him... 'Either remove my number from your system right now... or I will simply phone Rogers and get a new number, and you can hound the next person who doesn't owe you any money either.'

He asked me for the cell number, I gave it to him. He said I would be removed from their system. I haven't had any Icor calls for 4 days. I was receiving 1-2 calls per day.

I am also going to complain to Rogers about it. A customer service person told me that Rogers holds the numbers for 6 months before rolling them back into the system.

It may be true, but it should not be the customer's responsibility to call Icor and clear up their stupid crap. Rogers should do a thorough check on each number to ensure they are not sticking their customers with an Icor list number.

i get frequent calls from these dumb f***s they are so f-ing stupid that i have to f-ing f*** around with them, i give them fake names and fake everything and then tell them to go f*** themselves. and get a real job.

when I got the call it said to call back this number. First thing they ask was for my wife by name and said they were IQOR or ICOR collection agency, so i gave her the phone. first thing they asked her was her date of birth, which did not seem right. luckily I quickly stop her from saying anything. I presured the lady that was asking my wife these questions to give me info on what the call was about but she didn't say anything and hung up saying we were not going anywhere with the conversation. I know my wife does not own anyone any money. This was ord because we check our credit report all the time. Please everyone be careful.

I got phone calls from this number also.
They have called me many times in the past week.
Any ideas where they might have gotten my number from?
And any ways to get rid of their annoying calls?

P.S. Has anyones text messages or calling history disappeared after a phone call from this number?

These people are annoying, rude, and completely incompetent.  Even though I have asked them several times to remove my number over the past year (they do not have a file on me), they either say that they will (and don't) or they say that they can't because they use an auto-dialer.  I have complained to the CRTC, though I doubt they will do anything.

Also, I called their American parent company which provides a number and email address if their employees violate their code of conduct, etc.  I called, and the woman I spoke to was very apologetic (especially after I told her that one of their employees hung up on me, and another one gave me the number of a manager I could speak to, which turned out to be a number that was out of service).  She said that since I was Canadian, she couldn't do anything other than sending an email to them to say that they needed to take my number off of their list.  Only time will tell if this helps.  If you want to give it a try, call 1-800-811-4214 (option 2) from 8am-8pm.  You can also email them at advocacy.group@iqor.com

i got a call from them too asking for my father but he doesn't speak english.  told them that said quite rudely i'll get someone to call back.  i told her outright we're not interested in whatever they're selling and she rudely said they weren't and hung up.  now reading all this, i wish i would have told her different! i usually get these calls several times a day! quite annoying. :S

This number called me twice on my pay as you go cell phone. When they first called at 10:02 this morning I let it ring and I don't have my voice mail set up so I knew whoever it was couldn't leave a message. I figured it was just a telemarketer. So when they called the second time at 2:01 I ignored the call. I then thought it was weird that the same number called me twice. I then proceeded to look up the number and I found this site. I just got my phone a few days ago and I'm worried they will continue to call. I plan on never answering if the number calls again but if they do it a lot I'm going to get pretty annoyed.

I keep getting calls from the IQOR company.  They asked for me by my maiden last name.  Saying that I owe Bell over $500 from over 9 years ago.  What I don't understand is, if this is legitimate how did I get a mortgage or credit cards if my name was in the Credit Bureau and why are they now harassing me.  Ive had bills in my name for years and Bell has never claimed that I owe them any money.  I also asked them to send me something in writing and I have yet to receive anything.  They call here as early as 7:15am.  I have told them off many times as I have a newborn.  I am trying to find an email address for them to tell them off and I haven't had any luck yet.

Is this IQOR for real??

I keep getting calls from 1-866-294-1752 and they leave the message saying I have to call them back right away at this number. I have asked them to remove my number from there list as they have the wrong person. I have asked them this twice. They say they are a collection company. How the hell do I get them to stop calling me.

Is the do not call list in Canada at https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/insnum-regnum-eng working?  

My phone is in the do not call list, but this number, 1 866-294-1752, still calls me many times.  Is there a way to block it?

Well, I've been getting calls from them every day for the past few weeks.  Whenever I answer the phone there is dead air.  I called them back and they didn't even get my name right, they even listed off a bunch of names of people they 'were looking for'.  
If it is toll free, perhaps I should start calling them and vent my frustrations on them whenever I have a bad day or something.  I used to get calls from another company until I started to really insult them, which they stopped calling, I think I'll try that with this one.

Calls everyday about 5-10 times a day very very annoying.  I never answer

I got the call but no one answer.  Fed up with this kind of calls.  I would be for a legislation for this kind of call.

I continuously get this call from these f**kers every 6 months or so...the last time I traced the call every time and told them off.  They stopped calling and this morning I got another call and told the guy I was going to trace the call and get the police involved.  They responded 'you can try'.  Needless to say I will trace it each and every time.  To trace the call hit *57.  It cost to use it, but if we all do it, then maybe it will put pressure on the police to do something.  Enough is enouch.  This is my third round with these guys.
