In my case, whoever it was left a message on my voice mail home recorder, and the only sound audible for about two minutes was static, and varying sounds, as though someone was walking with their phone on in their pocket. Strange to say the least, and annoying to boot.

- Toronto replies to GyulaI keep getting calls from these guys on my NEW cell number so its obviously for someone else so finally I called them back from my landline - not paying daytime minutes to get harassed. So the guy tells me they have no record of my cell phone number and that I must have another number forwarded to it or I don't know it because they aren't calling it. So basically I have no recourse I guess but to answer it on my phone
- AriaI've been getting a call from this number constantly they leave a blank message and when ever i answer the number there's nobody on the other line after a few moments the line goes dead. This starting to frighten me does anybody have a solution?
- LindyTHEY ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!
- sanderen| 1 replyI keep getting phone calls and messages from this number for some other person. When I am home I answer and they are quite rude wanting to talk to Ricky or Victoria Sweetlin. I just got this number about 6 months ago and after constantly explaining it, they say that they will take me off this list. But today, they called and I said "hello?" and someone on the other line said "hello" and then hung up on me. So I called their number back and got a new lady and I said that I have been getting phone calls from this number and she hung up on me. So I continued to call back until someone would say more than one word to me. I think I finally got my number off this list but I will let everyone know.
- Dave| 2 repliesI got two calls from this number today on my cell phone. I have had the # for 2 years. I answered and they immediately hung up. I just called and spoke to a girl there who said she worked for a collections agency named "IQOR Canada" and its a robo-dialer making the outbound calls. She looked up my cell number and read me a name, and I had no idea who it was. She said she'd remove my number from their dialer. We'll see...

- Dave replies to Dave| 1 replyAlso when I called, she too said she had no record of my number -- but found it "the other database".
- Dave replies to DaveThe calls continue... time to call the BBB.
Someone should program a robo-dialer to call them repeatedly and tie up all their lines so they stop calling us :) - MyronI have received many calls from this number and these peaople need to learn manners. Not only do they hang up on you but they also transfer the call to someone else mid sentence. I am planning to add a telephone conversation recoder to record any further call from this number. I have every intention to use this recording against them in a court of law and will pursue it to the full extent of the law.
This company was looking for my son who does not live with me and as far as I am concerned their phone call to my home number are a blatant invasion of my privacy.
Any further phone calls from this number will be taken care of by myself by calling them back endlessly from many different sources until they finally back off.
They started this war and I am going to end it.- Caller: Unknown
- Sandy| 1 replyJust to let everyone know, I put a 1 in front of the # and called it. the person answered and I said
"who is this that keeps calling me from this #?"
"what # are you calling from?"
"you called me, you have my #, I am tried of this you calling me and I don't get an answer, I want to know who this is"
Well to make a long story short, they are a collections agency, probably for many companies, lol mine was for Rogers wireless. - Sandy replies to SandyI contacted Rogers and informed them that if this was one of their agencies they hired that they wouldn't be very happy about the problems and major complaints like these here, they thanked me and are checking into it.
- pissed off by callerswhat ever you do. do not give them any information, do not answer there questions, these people thrive on calling and harassing anyone that they think has a debt regardless of whether they have the right number or not. they buy old debts and hound until they get the person to give in and pay, some try to pretend to be your friend and get info from anyone who gives info. instead tell them to contact a lawyer cause they are going to need it if they continue to call your number.
They can not prove that you owe any money because they don't have any data they prey on the weak who give in.- Call type: Debt collector
- meI get two or three calls a day from this number and I am getting really tired of it cus no one is there when I anser it I have got 4 calls today

- LucyWe've been getting calls from this number several times a day for months. If we answer, someone claiming to be ICOR calling on behalf of Rogers claims we have 'outstanding obligations.' This is definitely a scam. I've called Rogers to let them know what's happening in their name. Out of desperation we now submit the callers to feedback, funny voices, and loud music hoping they'll finally drop our number.
- Caller: Claim to be 'Icor'
- Lise Québec replies to EsiI have been receiving messages on my cell for about 2 years. I contacted PhoneBuster about it and the only thing they said is to verify with the 2 Credit Bureau in Canada if there is any outstanding bill. They say that there could be accounts opened fraudulently in our name.
I just received an other call this afternoon.

My kids and myself are sick of it, they want to answer it cause whenever they are on the other line it consistantly beeps from that number. They don't just call once and hang up, they call 5-6 times in a row and hang up. My answering machine only holds 20 messages then its full but if it held more I would have way more hangups because they are calling me on average 8 times a day for the past 3 months!!!!! If I change my number does anybody think that will help???

- J TI was getting regular calls from 1-866-294-1752 and was reading the warnings in the forums so I called the Consumer Protection agency for Ontario (1-800-889-9768) and ran the number by them. They explained that IQOR is a licensed legit collection agency but that they sometimes use questionable methods for tracking down their debtors. So if you do not know of any outstanding debts and they call you, they are most likely fishing for info on someone who's name you share or who used to have your phone number/address. By law, a collection agency cannot call and harass you unless they have sent a written notice of what you owe and to whom. If you haven't received anything like this then it is a case of mistaken identity. This is why they want to know who you are. The Consumer Protection agency said that it's ok to give your name and number because that will likely clear up that you're the wrong person. Just don't give any other info, especially your SIN number; they're not allowed to ask for that but sometimes do just to make their searching easier.
The next time IQOR called, I picked up and asked who they were looking for. My phone number is listed as my first-name initial and last name and the person they were looking for had the same last name and a first name that started with the same letter. I told them who I was and they apologized and said they had the wrong person and that they would take my name off the list. In reality, what they were doing was calling every person in my city that had the right initial and last name and using the process of elimination to find them. So, yes, very annoying - but they can get around the Do-Not-Call List because they are not telemarketing but "collecting," even though most of their calls are just fishing.- Caller: IQOR

- coleyThis number has been HARASSING me for almost 2 years now. I've tried every method, including giving them my name to clear it up. Last summer they did what you said and apologized, told me I wouldn't be getting any more calls. They stopped for about 6 months, and now constantly call again. I've reported them to phone busters and whatnot, and nothing has happened. They call me anywhere from 7am to 1am, mostly hang ups. I've been told off, screamed at, heard a man sexually harassing a woman on the phone (I pressed mute by accident and they thought I wasn't on the line). I've also been called form what sounds like a party, bars, and so on. The person who they are calling for's name is nothing close to mine. They've given me pretty everything to steal her identity, such as birthday, sin, address, etc. Luckily for her, I'm not a person who would do anything like that. One thing they will not give me is the reason for calling. :(
I could just change my number, but I shouldn't have to. I wish I could just block them but its a cell phone, and apparently rogers can't do that. I feel bad for the people they do succeed in scamming.- Caller: IQOR

- JABApparently I owe $32 to Rogers from 2005. Serious. And these [***] have been calling me for 2 years asking for this $32. I told them I would send no money unless I received a letter in the mail. They said they would send one, but they never did, and they keep calling. It's ridiculous. I think everyone should be sending their complaints directly to Fido and Rogers. Pressure on those two will most likely convince them to stop using IQOR.
