I keep getting voice mails fromtakhargroup.  I never respond.  I don't know how they got my cell number

I have told them it is the wrong number and we are on the no call list and they continue to call and will not identify themselves.

I keep getting this call on my machine leaving a message that I MUST respond using web adress Takher group or the phone number as above.Essentially spamming me at least twice a day using my phone.Who are they?

I just received a voicemail message today (Sat, Mar 13) from this group.  The message was very, very vague:  "This is the Takhar Group calling on an important matter.  We require an immediate return call to  1-866-408-8299. Failure to return this call may result in a decision on a file without your input.  Once again, we require a return call from you between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm eastern std time, or you may look at our website at www.takhargroup.com. For details of why we are contacting you our number once again is 1-866-408-8299."  

They did not identify toward whom the call was directed (There is more than one person living at this address).  As we are NOT in past due debt to any person, entity, or business - nor have either one of us had any charge offs or "debt forgiveness" at any time, and have no children that could have possibly run something up, AND have both checked our credit reports within the last month with no problems showing..... I have no other choice but to regard this call as a phishing scam.  

I have already filed a complaint with the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm (complaint # 10-T00522820 ) and plan to follow it up with additional details if I continue to receive these calls.  I also intend to report it to my state's Attorney General. I urge everyone who receives one of these calls to do the same.

I just got a call saying they wanted a call and it was urgent!!!

These people called my husbands cell phone left a very disturbing message, stating they were going to make a dicision if he didn't call back, my husband called me and I called them back, they were very rude, said they were looking for a Melissa Bruley, I told them that there wasn't a Melissa Bruley at that number and not to call anymore, they wouldn't explain who they were or why they were calling, I kept asking who they were and the man said you don't need to know if were not looking for you. I told him he was very rude and hung up. I think they are fishing for info on peoples bank accounts etc. Beware if you get a call from these people.

I have received a call from this number with no identification. They do not leave the name of the party they are trying to reach or a reason for their call. When I call back no one is in the office to take my call.

I received the same message threatening to "take action without my input." I have had the same number for four years and receive calls for every name that begins with a "T" with the same last name. It's got to be a scam as I have no outstanding debts and have NEVER been late with any payment.

They left the 866 number on my answering machine.

They didn't ask for anyone, and I have no idea who they are.

I didn't return the call.   Who do these people think they are that they can call and leave a
message that sounds threating and not even identify who the message is for.

Steamed in Colorado above makes a great point about reporting to the FCC.  I got this call last night.  Having knowledge that I pay my bills on time and my credit report is sound, I did not return the call.  In addition to Steamed in Colorado's advice, I suggest reporting them to the Federal Trade Commision as phone fraud, as well as to your State Attorney General's Office as you see fit.  Fraud is exactly what this is.  http://www.ftc.gov/phonefraud

So you know you have rights under the FDCPA that protect you from these calls. Save your messages. There is attorney's out there that open cases against collection companies on a daily bases.  They have to say pacific things in the voicemails. And just by what you have put in your statement below you would be able to open a case with a bit more information. This attorney's put there fee's in with the settlement that you would receive from the collector's.   I help my clients with collection calls and get them in touch with people that can help them with collection calls in this matter. You have rights and the collection companies don't care they just want there money.

received a recorded message to call this Number around dinnertime. They said it was urgent I call them between 9a.m. and 7p.m. est. or a decision would be made without my input. Gave me the website www. takhargroup.com. Haven't called them yet because I was suspicious of the 866 # and the lack of info. Is this a legitimate company? I am on the no call list and my number is unlisted so I don't know how they got it.

Tried to call back got Jessica, couldn't get a word in until I yelled at her, then she has the nerve to tell me to be polite or she will hang up.....I just wanted to tell her IF there is a bill lingering out there send it to me..and I would pay it if it was correct...she was insistant that I pay it right away on the phone...
No way....Never heard of this company before and there's too many scams out there.....

If you go to the website, takhargroup.com and enter the phone number and zip code, it will give the name on the account that they are collecting for.  If it is you, then you can pull up the debt information with an address.

Hey, I just recieved a call from this group, demanding that I must return their call immediatly. They do not explain in any detail who they are or what the nature of their call is about. Soldiers from this country have died for my right to turn the other cheek. -March 28, 2010 (12:13pm).

Are you now using # 877-204-8726 to throw use off track? Why the threatning attitude when you call in the first place? I would think that if you were legit you would be a little kinder---you wouldn't get such a backlash to start with. I'm pretty sure that I was a wrong number because I owe no one!!! But, I will not waste a phone call to talk to someone as rude as you guys to "get a number removed from a list". A Dale Carnegie course would help you get better results if you are serious. However, if you are a scam outfit, nothing we say will change a thing---it's like trying to talk to our big government.
