Left a message earlier, with a very long reference number for me to give them when I call back.  Supposedly they require a return phone call.  Too bad, I charge $1000 for those each, and $500 each time I have to verify something (I never give out information, I might confirm it, but I don't offer information), and I charge another $10,000 each time this kind of call turns out to be for someone who has never lived here, as I've had this number for close to five years, and I know who had it before I did, and I've lived in this house for over five years.  Sick of these scammers portraying themselves as debt collectors.  Those guys already have a bad enough image.

My mother, whom I haven't lived with in 12 years, is getting these calls for me at her home. They are asking for me under my maiden name. I tried to call the number and it beeps and then asked me to hold for a representative. Then it hangs up on me.

I just got the same call at 8:45 tonight.  Telling me it was urgent that I call them back immediately or they would something about a file without my input.  Then gave their hours from 8 to 5.  Like others it was computer generated so I didn't get a company name or the name of a person.  If it is a medical collection agency I don't know what they are calling me for, I don't have any medical bills that are outstanding.  I tried to call the number even though it wasn't the hours of business specified just to see if I could get the name of a company.  All I got was an answering machine saying your call is important to us you will be transferred to the next available agent.  Then the call would drop. I don't know how they got my cell number either.  I live in Missouri. Does any know if they are legitimate or a scam?

I also received a call from this number... and again, a partial message because the recording started playing before my voicemail started recording it.  I live in a residence hall, so this number has only been my number for about a year and a half, but do you think there's any reason that I should be worried?  I shouldn't owe any companies any money, but I also don't want a collection agency after me.  I have a hard time believing this is a legit company to begin with... not very good "quality" considering that their website brags about quality... lol...

I just got broken message from this number two hours ago.  I don't know what is the reason for the call.  The operator left a hasty message asking me to call back between 8 to 5.  It's probably a scam...But, I'll try to do more research on them...maybe report to police if they keep doing that.

i get calls from the 1 866 408 8299 and im getting sick and tired of it. Thats harassment. i work third shift and call early in the morning to early afternoon.

I keep getting a call from this number as well. They had asked for my ex-boyfriend from about 4-5 years ago. I had told a male that about a few weeks ago. Then today I get a call for my ex-boyfriend again and I told the female that someone already called from there and that I am a ex-girlfriend and have no idea how to reach him... and Don't want to know. (I wonder if he is still using my cell # as a contact # for himself?)She said she was sorry and I told her it happens all the time and hung up on her. I am sick of this number calling after I have told them a few times this is not a number for him. GRRRRRR! Next time they call him, that is gonna set me off and I am going to blow up at them and yell why they keep calling me and I demand them to talk my number off or I will report them. (I am not sure to whom)But hopefully they will get the hint.

I am so sick and tired of these morons calling!  I am constantly getting collection calls for the previous owner of my phone number which I've only had for like 5 months now.  My home number only goes right to voicemail now and doesn't ring but there is always this and other collection agencies leaving messages. Prior to me setting it to voicemail-only, I have talked to this freaking Tackart Group. This man was looking for a Steve. I am not male nor did I know him. I explained that I had only had this phone number (land line) for a short time and he must be looking for the previous owner.  The reply I got was "YEAH RIGHT!" and he hung up.  I called them back so fast and yelled at the guy (same guy answered) and told him to take me off the list and to never call looking for money and doubt me again. He looked up my number, and said it was not in their database. I told him he JUST called.  He hung up. This happened about 2 months ago and now I am getting the calls again. This is BS.  Luckily they haven't started in on my cell number.  I just need to get rid of the land line.
From the looks of this list, they are really out to scam people.

Received a message from someone at this number saying they must speak with me re: a very important matter that could be resolved with my cooperation. Asked for me by my maiden name, which I haven't used for 7 years. When called back was told they were Takhar Group, a collection agency. Said I had outstanding debt for book club. Not only did they have my maiden name on account, but an address I haven't lived at for 3 years. Told him I have never had book club accout and he gave me another number for a book club company. I have seen numerous posts about this company and it seems either they do run scams somethimes or someone else is using their company name to run a scam. Think Im dealing with an individual opening accts under my id.

I received calls from this number quite a few times. Finally called them back. Very pleasant lady asked me for the number they had called and said she would be able to tell me the nature of why they called. She said they were trying to get in touch with someone. The name was not familiar to me and I told her they had the wrong number. Hopefully they take my number off their list.

Kept getting messages on my answeringmachine from this number.  I finally returned a call and got a very pleasant woman on theother end.  She asked if I was calling from the number in which I received the call.  She then states she was trying to get in touch with a person I have never heard of.  She was very nice and said that she would make note of it and have the number removed from their system.

I received a call from them saying it was urgent to call back. They were calling in regards to a very small bill I had forgotten about. They were very nice and helpful in taking care of the matter. They didn't want to put such a small balance on my credit report. They are some of the nicest people I have talked to. No harrassment or anything like that.

They keep calling and leaving annoying messages.  I want this harrassment to stop.

I have been getting there phone calls now for about 2 month 3 or 5 times a week. They asked to be called back so I finely got threw to some one. First they did not know my name they called me by Tracey Sanford when I told them that was not my name they said then what is your name so I said Cindy and was stupid enough to give them my last name. At any rate they said that I was the person they were trying to reach and that I owed Virgin mobile $598.00 the odd thing is I have never had a Virgin phone I have always had Verizon wireless. They said not to worry that all I need to do was give them my credit card information and they would make $60.00 dollar a month payment out of my account until it was paid off.I kept saying that I did not owe them any money. So then he asked me for my Social Security number to verify the information on my account. I told them I do no give that out and they said that they needed it to confirm the amount owed. He said I must give him my credit card information social security number and checking account information to start paying off this money or that they would take me to court. I asked them to mail me the statement with my name saying that I owed this amount. He said he was not allowed to do that and that he would keep calling my phone until I paid them. Very rude and all though he had an American name he had a very thick Indian accent. It was all very odd since I have never been delinquent on my bills and have a very good credit score. As a mater of fact I had my credit report done in September when I bought my new home and there were no outstanding or delinquent bills. I really think this might be some sort of SCAM its very sad if it is because they are very convincing and I would hate for someone to get Scammed by them. Pleas try and let people you like family and friends that this is some sort of scam.

These people wont stop calling my house its becoming very annoying. I wish there was some way of asking them to take your number off of there calling list. I have never even heard of these people It sounds like a scam to me I mean who calls and leave these weird messages "call us or we will take action on your mystery file" What a munch of scammers.

The call my house and leave messages "automated" saying to call them back. I called back to see what it was about. They wanted my checking account number to start payments on an outstanding phone bill that I ran up in Canada humm the odd thing is "I have never even been to Canada"!!!. When I asked for more information account number ex they were very rude and said it was a small amount only $56.00 and to pay it. "Pay it" the person I spoke with could barely speak English had a very thick Indian accent.   Ps they dint know how to spell my name did not have an account number and when pressed just demanded checking account number! SMELLS LIKE SCAM!!!!

Be careful about PAYING your debt to them or any debt collector if you owe one.  The reason they are calling you is to obviously attempt to collect $$ because they get commission when they collect.  ALSO, its usually towards the end of the statue of limitations period so I believe when you state you are going to pay that begins all over again.

I don't care who calls me, but don't have a answering service call and make threats against me and tell me to call back when they are in the office? (eastern time)  If they call my house, they should be able to call me when they can talk!!!!

I have gotten this call many times in the past week. The lady says it is time sensitive and thet her name is Brenda. I call back and am put on hold while waiting for a field agent to take the call..I hang up Is there a way to block this call since it doesn't seem on the up and up.
