- SteveI received a voice mail from 877 253 8964 about a card ending in the last 4 digits of my debit card. I didn't call the number left on the voice mail but called my bank instead. Turns out this is a legitimate number that many banks use to alert customers of fraudulent activity. My bank asked me for the case number that was left on the voice mail. My Bank took care of the problem, my card was canceled in a new one was issued.

- Skeptical Spouse now Relieved SpouseA man named "Al" from Fraud Prevention Services called my phone on 1/18/15 trying to reach my husband about some transactions on his debit card that may be fraud. Because yesterday was a holiday we were unable to check with our bank to verify if this was accurate. We did not call "Al" back for fear it was a scam, but low and behold when we contacted out bank today we learned that several small "test" transactions from different states were made with my husband's debit card # and that threw up a red flag to the bank's third party monitoring company. Our bank immediately terminated our card #s and ordered new ones. Please take the call seriously. Even if you do not call the 877# back, at least reach out to your bank for verification as it could save you alot of lost $ and heartache. :)

I just checked my messages today on the 6th and been using my card with no problem checked my online bank account all charges were the same places I go every month, nothing suspicious. I will call my bank to make sure but seems odd if they put hold on my account that I am still able to use it
- Meggo replies to PattiThis is a legitimate service. My husband's card was dinged for suspicious activity almost the moment it happened by this fraud protection service at this number. That was this past Sunday afternoon. Monday morning he called our bank and ordered a new card. I too was suspicious but it is legit.
- CpReceived call from this number didn't ID so let go to VMS. Left message about charges to debit card. Left case number. Called my bank and they had not noticed any unusual activity on my card and it was not deactivated. Fraud call
- BeckyI made a purchase out of the country with my credit card & this number has been calling me & left messages saying they were fraud protection for Security National Bank & for me to call them back. Of course I called the Fraud Protection phone number I had, not the one they left for me to call. The real Fraud Protection at my bank said there were no issues with my card & the case numbers they left for me obviously were incorrect. This number is a SCAM! DO NOT RETURN THEIR CALL!
- Caller: Security National Bank

There were few transactions with my debit card that I did not make. - CALL YOUR BANKThis number---> 877-253-8964 is all over the internet as having phoned people at home for everything from debt collections to account fraud. My bank says it's bogus, not legitimate. I blocked and reported the number. Bottom line, call the number on the back of your bank card to verify your bank account is OK, don't give these people any information.
