Got a call from this number this a.m.  Found all of your comments after searching # look-up.  Has got to be a scam artist and sounded like a young guy on the line who had a dead-end telephone job looking for people who are vunerable and stupid.  Beware.  Unfortunately we can't avoid these idiots.  There is really no way to rid ourselves of them.  "Do not call lists" do not work.

I received a call from this number today and a man left a voicemail telling me to contact this law firm in an attempt to collect a debt.  I looked up the law offices of Joel Curtis on google.  There is a website that comes up but none of this sounds legitamate.  The number they called me from and asked me to return the call to was 877-444-4655.  This was not the number listed on the website.  I am not calling them back. Before this I was receiving harassing phone calls from First IRS legal department threatening me. I called them and told them to contact me in writing if it was a legitimate collection and haven't heard from them since.  Now these people are calling me.  I'm not going to give them a bit of information.
Not only that but I could not understand his name or the name of the law firm.

they called and left me a msg. i called them back and got an answering message. left mesg. to call me back, i was a bit worried on why a law office would be calling me, and didnt want to call them back if it was a bill collector..LOL so i googled the name and came across these statements.
thank you all, i will not be paying them and will be rude to them durring there next call.

got a call for a Mr. Day....for the law office Joe Curtis and to call them back by Wednesday.
This has got to be a scam.....I will be adding them to the do not call list.

My Mom was getting calls from this number, but not for her or anyone else we know. A Ms or Mr Easton was making the call..  When I called to remove my Mom's number from their list, the person taking the call was rude and sarcastic to say the least..  This law firm, is actually a debt collector and has a B- rating with the BBB.  I could not find them list in tha American Bar Association.

received the same phone call..called them back to see what they were...yes..debt collectors..at this point in time..will make one more call and go from there.

I wish these people would stop they are actually filling up my voicemail so I am unable to recieve other important work related messages. I pay my bills with the people I have them with. At no time do I agree that they can pass my contract with them to some barely known law firm from across the country. So if they do thats too bad for the both of them.
But First and for most these people are rude and unsincere with no care for humanity but collecting and squeezing every little green dollar out of you and me. I see no need for that kind of business in my supposed land of the free.
If we ignore them collectively I see little they can do because we are the ones supporting them in the first place they'll simply cease to exist.

I got a message today from this attorney's office looking for my ex-husband. They said this was the number he had listed with their client...He has NEVER lived in this house with this phone number. But the gentleman I spoke with (Mr. Wallace) was nice on the phone. I just explained that he doesn't live at this phone number & never has....He said they would remove my number from his account....Hope that is done & over with.

they want me to pay them 2,8003.99 dol its is a scam .send this paper to FB I AND ATTORNEY GENERAL .

Not on the list in Florida!I refuse to wait for them to talk. if they have to call me with a recorded message, and tell me to wait for them to get on the line, screw them. They want to talk, call me when they have the time.

I used to work for this company..its not a scam..they just dont tell you the whole truth. chances are that joel cardis will not sue you. just pay your bill..the bills are real..the people you owe the bill to are real. just pay your bill directly to the person who provided you service and your safe. just pay 10 dollars a month and your safe. dont avoid them they will just keep calling and calling. haha

What you're saying is completely not true.  Get a life and stop posting lies on the internet.  There's liability associated with SLANDER.  YOU can be held accountable for posting slanderous comments on the internet.

Do NOT pay from a card or by bank check.
Purchase a money order from a check cashing service or the Post office and
pay that way.....not traceable back to your private accounts or cards.

Keep all receipts and make PARTIAL payments requiring written confirmation, on letterhead,
of the payment received and declining balance owed.

I have been receiving harassing phone calls from this bogus company also.  I had an account which was supposedly turned over to them for about $1400 that I have paid off in full to these guys.  I am receiving very sporadic calls saying I still owe.  Well here is the catch, " I dont owe them anything" and I have been told not one, not two but, three different times that the acct was paid off and then months later have them call saying more money is due.  MR. OTTO is the rudest, most incompetent legal assistant aid, clerk, scam artist or whatever you wanna call him.  He actually hung up the phone in my face recently when I firmly disputed his claim of me owing.  Im  definately going to seek further action because clearly if there are this many complaints then something has to be done.

William, slander is against the law, right? Well isn't posing as a lawyer and not being one against the law???? Is there any liability issues with your company calling and scaring the crap out of  a MINOR CHILD into thinking their dying mother is about to be sued when you say things as "I'm calling from the law offices of" "we're about to put court papers into the mail today" "There's a lawsuit pending but we need to talk to her first"---all of which was lies? They're not lawyers, yet posing to be? That's as illegal as a man coming to your door posing to be from the water company, yet they're not!!!!!!  Not to mention, there is a such thing as harrassment when it comes to bill collecting. Therefore the next time you call my children or myself, I'll be more than happy to give you my attorney's phone number and hear you worm yourself out of that call, you against a REAL LAWYER who truely knows the in's and out's of the laws concerning proper bill collecting...

I have recieved several messages left on my phone about a debt owed, the thing is i don"t owe anyone anything, I have tried to contact this office several times, and as of yet I have not been able to talk to anyone.  I have sent them an e-mail, and I will contact the state attorney generals office about these phone calls

The world is crazy with money hungry scammers.
I still get those e-mails from banks wanting my account number etc..
and the e-mails saying I need to claim my millions in some foreign country..
They must think we are all stupid.
Wish there was a way for all of them to spend their days in prison somewhere..
