They have been calling me at work, that's is not suppose to happen.  Threaten me with some kind of court action.  I had surgery, and am still paying the doctor off for that, but this bill is for where I had the surgery done at, which my doctor is partners in that business.  My doctor's office know's that I'm stuggling after being out of work for five month's then lost my full time status at work, still trying ot catch up on other medical bills too.  How can they keep calling me on my job?  It's got my nerves so rattled, already on anixety pills from all the stress I've been going through just trying to keep a roof over my head.  Told the lady I could send $20 a month she said that isn't good enough.  What do they want from me, I'm only one person and live alone, would they be happy if I have a nervous breakdown, or end up on the streets homeless?  Someone needs to stop that company from harrassing folks.

This bottom feeder is like everyone else. they call looking for someone who never lived here and I don't know.  Someone made an error in recording information and this so-called law firm failed to do their due diligence.  I think I'll sue.

Well, I am sending a letter to the DOJ and Federal Trade Commission office. My story is the best, they are looking for some company and calling my cell phone and explain to their telemarketer. This company does not exist, this is a cell phone. Well, after the love was gone and he continues to call my cell and he would not identify the company or his name. Well, let those three groups that I am writing directly and doing a "deep dive" on Joe and company.

Pay your bills.so people wont have to call your phone. If the num isnt the correct number, all u have to say is (the number isnt the right number) you will be taking out of the computer system, and u will not get any calls. Most of you that commented are in dedt amd really should answer the phone, a setteelment is what you need. The Law Office is a actual Buisness. They do file suit.  The Collection agnecy informs u that if u dont pay them it wil be sent to the attorney office for suit! If its a busines, just because u went out of buiness doesnt mean the dedt isnt a valid dedt. You will need to file bankrupt .

I just recieved a call from a Ms.Stevens she was very rude and would not allow me to get a word in. She claims I owe a debt to a company that I do not owe. I tried to understand why she was calling me and to talk to her about it and she stated to me there was nothing to talk about I needed to "pay my bills, learn to pay your bills". I ask to speak with her supervisor re: the way she was talking to me and she told me I didn't need to speak with anyone else,to pay my bills she continued being very ignorant and yelling at me until I hung up and tried calling back. When I called back I kept getting the so called Ms.Stevens and each time she would answer the phone and say something ignorant so I would hang up and call back until she let it go to her voicemail and you can press 0 then 6 to get an operator which never came to the line. I have googled this company and have founf no info other that these postings!

tammy you must be bored out of your mind to have to make your comment if you aren't one to complain about the phone calls.  I just got one, I have no outstanding debt that isn't being paid to the creditors directly, nothing late, so why are they calling me? I told them they have the wrong number and they keep calling.....any answers to that?

I just got another call myself.  Won'Joel Cardist say who I owe or the amount?  Am I to pay them till they have made enough money from me.  I told them if they called my Mother and threatened her with a court case she would pay the amount out of fear.  How often does this happen?  I told the caller I want a letter from them and we will talk then.  He said it's gone beyond that, I assume they can't type either.  I told him I was calling my friend who is a magistrate, who I have known for 40 years to see how to proceed.  Then the newspaper, and the police.  Friends, even if you owe money this is not how it is collected.  They do not want to tell you who you owe, if you in fact do owe, because you might just call and work things out.  Funny thing, I just told my wife that our local news had a piece on disreputable collection firms.  A week later I get this stupid call.  There will be no court case because thereis NO LAWYER at this business.  Relax and hang up when they call by saying that you have heard bad things about them on television.  You will never hear from them again, I promise you this.. Whow...
I received a letter from this so called law office of Joel Cardis. I have been trying to contact this offices since Thursday 5/19. The phone number that was listed was 877-444-4655, no direct no#, which was very concerning to me. So, I went online and pulled up the law office, which did not give much info, but a so called direct number was found. That number is 610-239-7147. When calling this number, it says that the # is disconnected. I have not been able to speak with anyone since receiving this letter. So please beware, we have losers on the loose.

Tammy, you must be one of those people trying to take from other people. You can say what you want, times are hard and it's no excuse to take from others. You wouldn't be visiting this page if you were not involved or owe something yourself. So preach to yourself and HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!!!

Tammy; first off, if you tell them they have the wrong number, they usually don't take you off their call list.  Collection Companies, including companies like Joel Cordis go through all the phone numbers in the country and start calling until someone, hopefully the person they are looking for starts paying the debt.  And I can only hope that the day comes when your life is at the bottom of the heap, and when you are looking for someone to help you out, they treat you the same way you have treated the people on this line.  Second there are Sate and Federal Laws regulating how and when and what collection companies can do. Threats of any kind are not listed as ok in those laws.  And if you had read the post before you she didn't say she had gone out of business, simply that they were looking for a business and are calling her cell number and that she told them they had the wrong number and they continue to call.  If you owe a debt, I agree do the best you can to pay it, even if that means you are paying a small amount of money.  When collection people tell you the amount isn't good enough, they will accept what ever you send them, they aren't going to send it back!  So they file suit, keep cancelled checks, don't pay over the phone, with your debit or credit card, pay with an actual check..........don't ignore the suit, go to court and be prepared, have copies of your cancelled checks or the actual cancelled check showing that you are attempting to pay the debt.........also they have to prove the original debt, make them prove it.  If you are making an honest effort, they will NOT file suit because most courts will accept that you are trying.

    tired of the harassment
I have received several calls from this idiot . I asked him not to call me at work but he continues to harass me .Now he is calling me from a blocked number to continue harassing me. I have registered a complaint with the F T C ( federal trade commission) . They were very patient and took all my information. Please call and register your complaint. The FTC will take legal action if they receive enough complaints. Let's put a stop to this scumbag .

This is a collections firm - they called me several times.  I called the number back (took a little while to get through), told them it was a wrong number and haven't gotten a call since.  I looked on this page because I don't answer unknown numbers and decided to call because I didn't think I had any outstanding debts.  Also, when I called the 610-239-7147 number it was an active number and said "Law Offices of Joel Cardis" so I'm not sure why someone said it was disconnected...  The guy I talked to didn't sound like the smartest person but he wasn't rude or anything.  Maybe if I owed the debt he wouldn't have been so nice.  Best bet is to just call and talk to them - especially if it's a wrong number, if they don't know it's wrong why would they stop calling otherwise?
