I just received a called form a female person (no ladY) re garding a debt.  Unfortunately she would not be quiet long enough to learn that I was a wrong number and have been called numerous times after requesting to be put on their internal do not call list.  This rep continued to say she had questions to "axe" me.  I run a call center and fire reps like this every week.  Extremmely rude, unprofessional and not a great representation of a law firm.  I have contacted the state attorney general's office in Tallahassee, Fl and my attorney.  Since I have requested to be dispositioned as a DNC twice now, this firm will receive a hefty "DO NOT CALL" fine.  Please call me again, I dare you!

Got a call from this number.  they called my workplace!!  What is up? I have been reading all the posts.  Are they a legit firm  or is this some scam?

This company is not licensed to collect in my state and is trying to do. Make sure if a collection agency is trying to collect from you that they are licensed to do so in your state. If they are not file a complaint against them.

the lady claimed she was from law office and i need to call her had my home address and all i have no lawyers

they've been calling me about debt that I've paid with the company themselves.
the first time they called me at work and told me I had a debt and they were taking me to court. I told them that I was talking with the hospital themselves to work it out. the rude black man, (Quarles i think) kept saying that "So you're not going to pay this?" over and over. I eventually just hung up. We paid the bills later that day.

today, they called AGAIN, and I explained that I am on my mother's insurance and that we took care of it and to please quit calling. the man then responded with "then you need to grow up and stop having your mom pay for your things," and then kept harassing me saying "you need to deal with these things, and it's not my job to stop calling you, you need to contact your hosptial again or i will keep calling" He was extremely rude, so i hung up on him. An hour later, a Mrs. Eastman called me back asking for a copy of the paid bills, so I faxed it, and I'm hoping they dont contact me anymore. Its stressful to get those calls at my work (which is already stressful enough)..

They have been calling about a debt on a pharmacy bill that my mother owes.  She was paying another off the debt to another creditor.  She is in a nursing home and she ran out of money and is now on medicaid.  The government will not allow her to pay any of this debt with her remaining money.  I explained that to first creditor and that i am not financially responsible for her bills and they were gone.  Since I was listed as my mom's contact info, i started getting calls from the law offices of Joel Cardis LLC after the first creditor backed out.  I called them back the first time and explained to them what my mom's circustances were and that i was not responsible for her bills.  Now, they are bugging me, trying to get me to take care of my mother's bills.  I have explained to them that the bills are not.mine but they keep calling.

Lady called asking for a Jamison _____. Said "He doesn't live here. She said our number would be removed from their list.

I have recived  six phone calls with no messages and I am letting my attorney handle it.

i currently work there, Joel cardis is a real attorney.he gets your number from skip tracing or because you simply gave it to the person you owe money to, if you owe a certain amount he can sue you ,and the people that we collect on behalf of, are our clients, most of them place these accounts into collections and we are a forwarding attorneys office for those particular collection agencies .when the account is placed in collections the client ,or the one the money is owed to has already given the ok for suit once they placed the account into collections, if our office thinks the balance is big enough and we have documentation showing why the money is owed we will go after it, we don't threaten people, we simply inform them of the facts that the debtor may consider a threat but simply is not for example if i say our client has authorized suit that's because they have or I've been authorized to recommend suit that's also true sometimes we call people just to see if we should sue or not we may be calling as a courtesy letting you know we are ready to take action and just want to see ifwe can settle somehow .A lot of times people miss out on opportunities to save money because they think we're a scam but once and for all we are not thank you

Got a call from this number at 6:45am which woke not only me but also my twin infants. I didn't answer, and no message was left. I later called back to find out who had called from this number and got a message that it was the law office of Joel Cardis, LLC. It said the call was about debt collection. I have no idea what debt this is in reference to, so I hung up. Sounds like I could be in for some harassment. Thanks for the prior posts.
Also, to the idiot posting on behalf of the aforementioned "law firm," take some writing classes and get a new job. D*psh*t.

got a call from some rep. from from some law office of Joel Carter LLC and the rep mumbled his name claiming i owed money....aksed if he could send me a written letter with details, said he already sent one....i told him i never received any letters....he didn't believe me....my blood was starting to boil and i raised my voice in disbelief and repeated over and over that i never received any letters from this office and asked him to please re-mail it again.....he said he wasn't going to send any letters since he said i have already gotten one....i repeated angain that i never got it ...WOW i thought to myself.....then he sais he was going to hang up and he did.....i thought this was supper "professional" on his part, if you know what i mean...it's disgusting! this debt collector will go real far in his carrier, ha?

law office of joel cardis, collecting for Gateway Hospital. Our insurance paid but we owe a small amount of this over inflated bill. Gateway is a greedy hospital. they care more about money than patients. Perfect bill collector for them both greedy sleezy.

If you get this call again and they refuse to send you a letter because, "We've already sent you a letter" ... you have the right to then request REGISTERED mail so that all parties are satisfied that the mail was sent and recieved. =)  Plus, there's a list on here somewhere, there is REQUIRED information they need to include for it to be valid.

Thank you so much to those of you who have posted about receiving calls from 877-444-4655. I too received a message from this number today saying it was a law office and they were trying to collect a debt that I owe.  They did not say my name.  They just started into the message.  I don't owe anybody anything so it did make me anxious when I heard that.  I decided to google his name and saw all these remarks.  I feel so much better and will not go any further with this scam.  I wish there was a way to catch people like this that prey on innocent people and get their money.
