I received a VM from Joel Cardis, LLC today. They never identified who they were looking for. I did call them back and found out it was my mother who has been in a nursing home for the past two years and passed away this past September. After I informed the lady on the phone that my mother was no longer living, she thanked me and said she would take her name off the list. I pressed her for more information about why she was calling for my mom, but she would just say that she would remove her name from the list. She wouldn't tell me what "the list" was. The first big red flag for me was they asked for her by her nickname and not full legal name and the second that they would not give me any info as to why they were calling her. Will be letting the Attorney General know about the call.

They are saying Joel cardis and it's a scam!!! I just called them back told them I researched their company and I know they are a scam and if they call this number one more time I am reporting their number to the police

This number contact me today and asked for my name, when I said it was me then wanted me to confirm my address I said NO unless they identify themselves but didn't want to. I told them if you don't tell me what is this about I'll hang up and I'm not gonna give you any personal information. He didn't know what else to say so I hang up. Did not call back again. Let's See if that's enough too stop them.

It really boggles my mind, how people can be so clueless when it comes to life. The reason the Law Office of Joel Cardis is calling us is because we had services rendered or products that we weren't able to pay for at the time. Its a bill pay the damn thing before it gets to this point. This company is not a scam, its a debt collecting company for legitimate debts. Pay your bills and stop making ignorant complaints. Once it ruins your credit youll be wishing you took these debt calls to get the problem rectified.. # BASIC # NINCOM POOP

That maybe the truth in your case, but ours. We pay our bills on time or early. Recently someone on eBay made a bogus account in my husband's name. Most likely someone he purchased from. That person stole his information to not his eBay account, but also our bank. Then set themself up with an account to sell on eBay, which costs money. But, they never paid the commission. Guess who eBay is trying to get the money from? Ever try to make a million dollar company understand that a nobody like us is being scammed? EBay is more interested in protecting my husband's "fake" identity made by someone else, than my husband's real identity.
So just because you may owe and deserve to have the wolf pounding on your, it's not always the case.

This attorneys office had contacted me about my wife. They wouldn't give me any into, I read through this article looked up the info and they in fact cannot do anything in the state of Illinois. Once I said this information I was asked who I was and they didn't have to talk to me and hung up the phon. This also enraged the woman on the phone who started to yell at me. Seems like a scam to me

Got a call from an Andrew. He spoke so fast I could barely understand him nor what law office he was from. Said he was collecting a debt! I have no debt. I will not call back. It's a scam

My 12 year old daughter received several calls on her prepaid cellphone from this number. The woman caller said, according to my daughter, something along the lines that it was a final attempt before bringing a lawsuit against her.  My daughter was quite upset by the threat.

As an attorney for the last 38 years I can attest that this is a scam Joel
Cardis if he exists is not licensed in Wisconsin.  Any atty knows a 12 year old, like my stepdaughter is immune from lawsuit as a minor.  If Mr. Cardis shows up here to file suit, I'll get him for the unauthorized practice of law, as well as  violation  of the laws governing debt collection and get a good recovery for the filing of a frivolous lawsuit.  Frank J, unless your a shill for this scam you are very naive.

Don't ever call these people back, ignore them and block the # on your phone.

This company has contacted my elderly father who has no debt.  I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and am in the process of reporting them to the State Attorney General's Office.

Got my first voice message from this company today.  They did not address who the message was even for by name...just that "you" need to call us regarding a legal matter.  I called the number back & it just rang/rang.   I won't call them again & if they call me & I answer it then I will see what they want.  If they have my # and aren't successful in reaching me, then they probably have my address too & can try sending something regarding "whatever" this is.  There are too many scams out there right now & I won't give anyone the time of day to try and scam me.  Good luck to everyone.  

I got a call first on my cell then on my work phone.Number said they were from a law firm Joel Cardis or Carter? said they were to collect a debt back in 2012!  First guy was Caine left massage on cell and work. I got the work call  then transfer me to some lady named Andrea ext. 7118  I asked them for a copy of my bill.They avoided the question by saying they sent it to me.Found this on the internet sounds like a scam or scare tactics.tried the number it is for Law office named Joel Cardis LLC some law firm in East Norriton, Pa.
