- JoeIt is citicard, it was for a card that I have through a store. They are calling because you have missed a payment. Pay them or talk to them and the call ends. When I called them back I ignored the automation asking for my account number, and they human was able to pull all my information up. Its not a scam.
- Caller: CitiCard
- Call type: Debt collector
- gdkPlease have them stop calling me. I don't own a citi card. I get calls everyday at all hours. It's ridiculous.
- Caller: Citi card
- CaseCiticards are in charge of a variety of credit card company's. Good Year is the one that most people have.
Just do a credit score report you may have a good year account. Either your late on your payment or they don't have the correct info from you to send/mail out your bill.
They cannot leave a voice mail and will keep calling until you answer. Answer it and ask why they are calling. Then you can stop the calls after you know why there calling.
Check all of your credit cards or store accounts you have and call them. Straighten out your accounts and everything will be ok. Close any account you don't need.- Caller: Citicard

- Yukon Bob| 3 repliesI got a call from this number at 8:03am on 12/31/11. I couldn't get to the phone before it quit ringing and they did not leave a message. The only caller ID was 'Toll-Free Call' and the phone number. I called them back and an automated message answered 'Thank you for calling CitiCard' and asked me to enter my account number. I pressed 0 instead and finally got a person, a woman, who asked for my account number. I refused to give it to her and she said they were calling about a past due balance. I said 'You're a liar; I've never been past due' and hung up on her. I then called CitiCard by dialing the number on my actual credit card and, of course, that was not them that had called me and the lady verified I was NOT past due and, in fact, did not have a payment due until January. This is just one of those phishing scams, so don't give them any information.
- Caller: Said CitiCard, but they weren't

- Quiqui replies to Is Rebecca A Genius Or What?Hi,, yes it is Citicards. I know because I actually have missed a payment. My wallet was stolen with my bank cards so I temporarily have no access to cash until the bank reimburses me. Citicards issues credit cards for several smaller companies including childrens place. i think they have sears as well. Childrens Place is one of them. Just as WFNB issues cards for other companies. I still think it was pretty rude to say people dont want to pay.. In my situation I cant pay. But i still dont wabt annoying calls.
- BillThis is a scam, and the people writing on here that it isn't are part of the scam. DO NOT give them account information.

- SylviaBI received a call from this number today. Yesterday I received a call from a different number 8882792426 both leaving the same message when my ans. machine came on. I keep track of every toll free number that comes on and I do not call back if I don't recognize the number. This is getting very irking to get a call every day with the same message and different numbers. I don't have a citicard nor do I owe any payment to anyone. This makes me want to say GRRRRRR.
- Caller: citicard
- KMiskethis number calls several times a day. today one spoke. wanted my husband. private matter. later today it called again. i could tell someone was there but they didn't speak.

- Jeremy HoviesI keep getting calls from this number. Once they asked for my parents' phone number, saying they needed to get in touch with them
- mtcthis number calls at all hours of the day and never leaves message. If i answer they hang up. Then why call if you are not going to speak!!
- Jalanaand also there are people that do not and never had an account with them at all and i do hate them calling as well
- Caller: unknown
- SydTwice a day, no message
- sherwood replies to SkipSome toll free numbers can be looked up in reverse directories. This is probably either tied to a cell account or an account from outside the US. If enough complaints go to the FCC they will track them and shut them down if US has jusrisdiction.
- LaurieI don't know who is company is and they keep calling all hours of the day and night and never leave a message.
- isotope239This is a "robocaller", purporting to be able to lower my credit card interest rates. I never answer this call, but let the answering machine do it. They call an average of 3 to 4 times every day, up to 9pm in the evening. The FCC supposedly has made robocalling illegal: http://www.adweek.com/news/technology/fcc-robocalls-be-gone-138313 But so far I haven't seen any evidence to that effect.

- JeanThis is usually a CitiCard collection call.
They handle dozens, if not hundreds, or different credit cards, including many brands of gas cards and store brand cards. They also occasionally use this number to make "special offers" on card accounts.
You don't have to have a card that says "Citi", to get their calls, just any of the MANY card brands that they work for.- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Jean replies to Yukon Bob| 2 repliesOdds are that they were calling about a different card that they also process. Citibank handles processing and collections for dozens or hundreds of different brand name credit cards. Just about any card in you wallet might be handled by this card center.
- Angela| 1 replyIt is Citibank. I received a call and finally answered. It was Exxon Mobil. I was a few days late paying my credit card. He was very nice. Asked why it was late which was just an oversight. He wasn't a jerk like a lot of these people can be if a payment is late. He even waived the late fee.

- Churchlady replies to MikeHi, I work for a church and we've been getting multiple calls a day from the same number. There is never a voice on the other end, it's always just a blank call. Neither the church, nor employees have a Citibank credit card--and none of us ever have. I called the number back and was able to get through to a person by pressing 0 and the pound key.
HOWEVER, you probably won't have any luck with getting them to stop calling. After repeatedly insisting that NO ONE here has a credit card with Citibank, the man said he was seeing "four or five accounts" for our business. I told him that they needed to stop calling unless they could ask for a specific person, in which case I would pass the call along as appropriate. He then told me that it was a business card, not a personal card, and that the only way to make the calls stop coming was to talk to the person in charge. Well, I am the person in charge, which wasn't good enough for him, so I informed him that my next higher up was God, and I didn't think he had time to argue with a scammer. That shut him up at least.
Please let me know if you have any luck getting them to stop.
