It is BMO Mastercard about late payments.. trust me.. I was late :)

received a few calls from this number....but dead air when answered...they keep calling......I keep getting dead air...have a MC..but bot late in any payments..driving me nuts!!

Received a call this morning.. On my cell phone and after at my work. I answered at work, she saids she's working for BMO and I'm late on my paiement. She was true about the amount I have late and how long. But after reading many phone number web site, I decided to call the official 1-800 BMO phone number and the girl saids :"Yes, it's their collection part phone number, it's on the list". But she saids it's the good reaction to call the official number to make sure, everytimes you don't know a phone number from anybody.

if you see 1-888-676-2269 theyre calling because
A- your mastercard is late or over the limit
B- your loan is late

if you do not have a mastercard with bmo, check your credit report
if you have not banked with bmo for a long time make sure you never shared any bmo products with an ex-spouse and they left it unpaid without you knowing your name was still on it.

This is 100% BS. These people do not work for BMO. Fact of the matter is that ANY cc company will never call you and ask you your information, they will call you and transfer you to a secure line, where they will confirm your info! These people are low brow con artists. I told the guy on the phone he could lick my ass!

Well its possible that someone is calling and forging the caller ID to look like the #. This is a real BMO # but if they are calling you they could be forging the caller ID and actually calling from a different number. Best bet is to call BMO back and confirm directly like I just did.

This phone# belongs to BMO collections.
They will keep calling until you talk to them.
If you don't pickup or call them back they will start calling your work place.
Most of the callers are very rude. You're lucky if you get someone nice.

They started calling at 7:30 this morning and have called every twice in a half hour. No one on the line and don't leave a message when I didn't catch it.
Who calls at 7:30 and 7:45 in the am?!?! Do banks start that early?

I can verify that this is definitely not Collections.
I am NOT - nor have I EVER, been associated with BMO.

I did not answer the call, but googled the number and found this sight I have never done business with BMO no message was left for me. I pay all bills on time I don't know why they would call me but I'm not interested enough to find out either. Remember NEVER give personal information to anyone calling you. Scammers purposefully say things to make you panic and put you on the defensive. If you are conserned agaig do not give out info look up a main number for the company they claim to be with and call them back through the main cpompany phone number. Protect yourself if you owe people money they will contact you by mail as well. Do not verify anything or give out any personal info to anyone that calls you

They're phoning me and I'm not picking up.  I have a BMO Mastercard and I am not late in payments and not over my limit.  If it really is Mastercard, why are they not leaving a message?

Does BMO have an outside agency do collections for them??

I have a Mastercard but I paid it and I know it went through. I have no idea why they would call but I wasn't home when they did and they didn't leave a message.

These guys called on my cell phone ... I have never banked at BMO, I have NEVER had a CC with BMO ever in my life.

The number is legitimate. BMO calls if you don't make the full minimum payment within a week of the due date. Basically it's a mix of a reminder and inquiry. I've received a couple calls since I lost my job, and they've been really good about it.

If you aren't comfortable or are unable to deal with it then and there, just tell them you're making a payment on date X and make the payment how you normally would. For me, I give them the date of my next EI direct deposit, then midnight that date I make the payment online.

Calls me repeatedly but does not leave a message and hangs up when I answer the phone.  I see other post stating it is a credit card company, but I do not have any credit cards.

I can confirm this is BMO, they told me the last payment I made, and how much was left owing.
