- bs replies to blairNot possible. I don't have bmo debt. Never banked there and have never applied for any bmo product.
- DSWe got 2 messages in a row from this number. The first one was literally some idiot tapping on a keyboard and saying "Hello? Hello?" like they didn't know how to work a phone. The second message she said it was about my husband's BMO account (she sounded totally stoned, btw). My husband does not have a BMO account, and although his company has a BMO CC, there's no way BMO would have my husband's home number.
Keep in mind: many phone scammers use REAL numbers on the call display (not the number they're calling from), so not everyone who gets messages from this number is necessarily getting hit by a scammer. In some cases, the calls might legitimately be from BMO collections.
As the person above did, ask for an account number or something to make sure the call is legit. But don't give them your info unless you're sure. - manonThey called twice, 2 days in a row. When I called back, the guy didn't know what I was talking about. I don't have any account with them, just a health insurance that I pay automatically every month with my credit card. He just transfered me to an other place... where I'd been waiting forever so I hang up. When I called back the second time the day after, it was the same guy ... weird... who told me to go to the bank near my place.
- Caller: BMO
- BMO customer replies to charlotteI am a BMO customer and this number is most assuredly a phone number associated with the Bank of Montreal; I use it on a regular basis.
- BMO CustomerThough this number is indeed a Bank of Montreal telephone number, it's possible, even likely, that spoofers/spammers have falsified their outgoing Caller ID thus making it appear to be a call from the BMO. If you don't have an account with the bank, don't answer.
- Caller: Bank of Montreal
- Call type: Debt collector
- irene pettigrewce numeros ma appler deja et personne au bout du fil ces vraiment derangent
- You're WrongThis is NOT BMO. I just spoke with them and they said....this is not their number and to not give any info. I knew it wasn't them . You people saying you work for them should be ashamed of yourself.
- Caller: Scam
- heywood jablowme replies to honeythen you went over limit
- Fred replies to blairThat's not true. I have nothing with BMO so why would they be calling me.
When you call back the number it tells you to use your cell phone #2030 and each call costs 4.99. I say nice try. - TysonCalled twice said there the bank of Montreal and I need to call them back
- Caller: Bank Montreal
- Call type: Debt collector
- LorrieRec'd 5 calls in 5 days....called back bank on regular contact number and there was no issue.

- Username| 1 replyUnfortunately evenrytime you use your number for a credit card application or other your number is out for grabs by anyone! IT is added to the credit report as one of your numbers, anyone can get your name and phone number that way. When I apply for anything or fillup forms I now use a virtual number via an app called 'textme' that I change every 6 months or so and received a voicemail if someone leaves a message, free of charge! I made a test, applied for a credit card/store card online with that number, 2 months later I am getting calls from this number: 8886762269 and many others. Our numbers are being sold to anyone that wants to pay for it, it's just like SPAM!
I call back via google call service, no number on caller ID :) and leaving the phone on until the voicemail is full, some it takes 6 minutes!! They waste my time, I waste theirs!!- Caller: 8886762269
- Username replies to UsernameI'd like to add that is number is from the USA! If it would be in Canada and BMO then this 888 call centre wouldn't be in the USA, makes no sense at all fro Canadian bank to have a call centre in the USA where they would have to pay more for employees and services!!! I know it is from the USA because i have an app that give me the actual real number it is generated from when toll free are you used!!
- AllieFISHING!!! FRAULD ALERT!!!!!
I just checked 411.com and made a reverse lookup. Toll free number base city is from Kansas City, USA! It also has a high SPAM activity alert!! Check it out yourself: http://www.411.com/phone/1-888-676-2269
Everyone should check online while on the phone with those worms! If in doubt look them up, NEVER give them any info even if they have your name, don't answer, just ask questions and get to your computer. I you cant then hangup and check who they are later.- Caller: Fraud
