Received a voice mail message. Could not understand most of information including the return telephone number. I called the local number from caller ID. It was PSCU financial services. They wanted my CC number which I didn't understand the caller on the message, then they wanted my SS number and I refused. I called GTE Financial security and ended up being transferred to PSCU . I had six  entries as pending all made that day which were fraud. The card was closed with a new card to be mailed. Thanks PSCU for being on top of it.

This call is valid!  It was a company calling regarding my debit card.  They listed a bunch of crazy charges that were declined from overseas.  They closed the card and my credit union is issuing a new card.  if you see a call from this number consider answering immediately.  They also left a message on my voicemail.

This is a legitimate company calling on behalf of Visa to review possible fradulent charges on the credit card issued by Hughes Federal Credit Union in Tucson.  They asked for my phone number and name only.  I don't have a credit card with Hughes FCU and they said my name did not match who they had on file for that number.  They were happy I called and said they would note in their file that the phone number is incorrect.

Received call from" PenFed Fraud Dept" regarding possible misuse of credit card. Claimed a charge of $1.47 to a hotel in Virginia which is 3000 miles away.Woman was very courteous and was in possession of information regarding other purchases on the card. Was advised to stop any further purchases on the card and that new cards would be issued immediately and sent within 10 days.

I confirmed with my bank that they are an actual 3rd party company that monitors their Visa cards. They called me on a Sunday morning, left a voicemail on both my cell and work phones regarding a "routine security check" on my Visa debit card. I'm very suspicious about calling anyone back like that because I've already had severe identity theft that has taken 8 years to rectify (seriously), I've never received a "routine security check" call in the many years I've been banking with them, and reverse-number lookup comments are so mixed. I checked my bank account and sure enough, there was a fraudulent high-dollar charge from a Home Depot in another city. Of course my bank is closed Sundays, so I waited until Monday morning to call them, where they did confirm that it is a legitimate company. Now I know, but it would be nice to have been aware of this 3rd party company beforehand so I wouldn't have to be so suspicious. You can't trust anybody these days.

It's legit.  I got a call about suspicious activity on my card.  Rather than calling the number back I called my Credit Union.  They verified that they use this company and lo-and-behold... .there was a fraudulent charge on my card for $211.

received a call saying they were running a routine security check. called my credit union first and they said that it sounded like a fishing expedition. they checked my account and there were no alerts or holds. i also checked all of my transactions and pending transactions, nothing there that i didn't put through.  my bank gave me the number that would call me if they found suspicious activity.  this wasn't it.

    Answer this call
This is from a credit card fraud department. In this case it was through credit union. This was a legitimate call. Someone had stolen my credit card number and was making multiple small purchases. they will ask you to verify info and they are able to verify your info as well. If you are nervous they will have you call your bank or credit union who will then connect you to the same number.

100% legit.. I purchased some stuff from China and my bank just wanted to make sure it was me making the purchase and not someone trying to use my card. This number is associated with BECU and a ton of other credit unions for credit card protection. I called my bank and they transferred me to this number regarding the purchases.. its not a scam.. and anyone that says it is.. is an idiot lol

Legit. I received this call tied to my Visa CC from a local (Virginia) Apple Federal Credit Union. They left a messaging saying it was a routine security check, leaving a call back number and a code. I called back and they asked me for my name, birthdate, and code. Strangely enough, the person who answered sounded like the same person who left a message; the voice quality of the call was not good either. It made me a little nervous, but I kept with it. Apparently, my VISA was being used several states away in Texas; they identified the fraudulent charges and then canceled the card. Cause I was still nervous after the call, I called the customer service number on the back of my affected card and confirmed my card was cancelled due to a fraud alert.

I belong to a MN based credit union. The call from 888 918 7313 is legit. My CU confirmed that they recently outsourced their fraud division to Falcon. They alerted me to THREE questionable transactions. All were fraudulent. My Visa card was cancelled and another will be reissued. I am so happy they caught these charges!

This is a completely false and fraudulent company. As part of their scamming, they pay to have people put favorable messages and false claims about success in protecting accounts. Do not fall for any of their lies - none of the favorable messages on any of the websites that check on scam numbers are true.

I am really skeptical when it comes to answering unknown phone numbers especially when they leave a message concerning bank accounts. When I called back, he asked for my name, my phone number and the case number that was left in my voice mail. He alerted me to MULTIPLE transactions that seemed out of the ordinary. Mainly because they were to three different hotels in three different cities and a Walgreens purchase that is at least a 1000 miles from where I live. He recommended that I contact my bank and have them cancel my debit card and be issued another. When I went to my credit union to check on my account, I was informed that there were some transactions that were questionable and were still pending on my account and was told to keep monitoring my account. This is is a legit number, just wish they wouldn't have showed up as Unknown on my cell phone, but then immediately called my office phone so I could see the number the caller id.

This is legit; I had tried to use our credit-union issued Visa card to pay for a vacation rental, but had problems with the charge.  (I then completed the payment using American Express and PayPal, instead.)  We received a message on the weekend from Cisco Unity Connection Payment Systems, with this return number.  I was extremely skeptical and thought it was a scam.  I tried to call back, but was on hold a long time.  Husband called back and they were inquiring about the attempted online charge for that vacation rental.  He confirmed details with me and called them back again.  They had the details correct and I can understand why they thought the charge could be fraudulent (even though it was not).  They did not request personal information, either.

This is a copy of a post I just put on a different site re: 888-918-7313. In summary, they are legit. Here's the post -
"O.K...here's the latest. Rec'd a call from this number informing me that there were "questionable charges" that were declined on my account. They asked me about 2 specific charges that I did NOT make. They informed me that the account is now closed and that my CU would be sending me a new card/account info. During this process, they never did ask for any personal data from me and only verified my name/phone number which they obviously already knew. The call was strictly informative once the bogus charges were verified by me. I immediately called my CU and they verified the previous callers veracity (accuracy, truthfulness...). My CU is expediting me a new card tomorrow. That's my experience with this number."
I don't know how the fraudsters got my cc number, but I am happy that it was noticed immediately and the account closed.
