Clearly you are lying. There would be no reason for you to have looked the number up after you "verified" it. Looks like you are one of the scammers.

This is legit. I got a text 2 fraudulent charges on my husbands debit card. asked if they were ours. Texted N and called the number. They froze the card immediately. And we went thru the last 2 days to verify they were ours.

Telling lies is normal for scummy scammers like you.

Received a call from this number. It showed up on my caller ID as being from Penfed. Asked for card information. Sent me a code verifying a transfer for $4000. I hung up. They tried to call me back 13 times from this  number and 5 more from 888-918-7313.

I don't trust these people. I got a call requesting that I call them back and verify a transaction. The transaction was legit. However, I didn't call them back. I called my credit union's member services and had them transfer me to the correct fraud department. Be safe!
