- MalindaThis is a phishing scam!!!! They called from this number 888-918-7313 saying they were calling from my bank about my visa card. They left a voicemail and I contacted my bank directly and they advised me it was a scam and they researched it and had a lot of complaints!!! Go directly through your bank. Do not give these people any info!!!!
- DebbieIs no one wondering how any one is getting that many credit card numbers from all of these credit unions. I know I am. I also received a call from them for attempts on my card. same thing closed that card and said to call my credit union to reissue.

- Andrew R. replies to David M LaBuda| 1 replyI have gotten calls from them three times now, and ALL of them were legitimate.
- Kristie| 1 replyThis was not a scam, I noticed an $80 charge on my account, and then they called me just a few hours later. They filed a claim to my bank telling them I need a new card and they saved me from paying someone elses bill. I didn't have to give them any info beyond the phone number they called me with and my birthday... the rest they knew, and they were it aware that it was only my card and not my husbands that had been frauded. I am very thankful!
- teGot a call from this number (and immediately Googled the number and found this page). They left a voice mail with a case number. Seeing that it may be legit, I called the number back. They asked some basic data to confirm who I was (phone number, the case number from the voice mail, and month and year of birth). Then, they reported suspicious activity on my credit card as well as some legitimate purchases I had made. One we finished the call, they removed the hold on my credit card.
- MarcGot a phone message from "VISA" doing a "routine security check" and I should call this number back if I want to continue using my card. Called back and nobody answered.
- JenniferThis call was legitimate. They caught fraudulent charges on my credit union visa that I never use and I would have never known had they not alerted me. They did not ask for my card number or account number and they had the name of the fraudulent charge at the ready, and it was the same one I was looking at on my computer screen login.

- sixhoseDEF. legit. Someone tried to submit an 8000.00 transaction to my account several times, as well as buy shoes from payless and something else for 270.00
- Caller: ? represents my credit union with respect to fraud
- leroyThese are always legit. I have them on speed dial. My credit union contracts out to them. always professional, always courteous. We have fun. And they protect my account!
- Ledgit Call replies to dcI also got this call. It's Visa Security verifying questionable charges.
I contacted my bank directly which they said is actually fine to do since Visa doesn't actually have access to the account just to the transaction. So I was able to get replacement cards sent out along with reversing the questionable charges. - no1reallyLegit were calling for PenFed credit union. Some charges were causing them issues on my credit card even though they were authorized. The woman I spoke to did not have the best grasp of English. They did not ask me for any sensitve information.
- Caller: Represented PenFed
- LHCalled PFCU and they verified numer as their security department. Asked them to stop the calls since they do not leave me a msg and they are now a nussance. I was tranferred to the security dept and they say every time they call a note is left in their system. In my case there are no notes for all the false '800" calls I've received. They do show a legit call to me they made yesterday and left a message for me to call them back, which I did. The security company seemed "stumpped". I asked them to investigate and stop the false calls.
- JoshGot a call from 888-918-7313 saying they were from my credit union and doing a security check regarding my debit card. Asked me to call them back & gave me a case number.
I called my credit union directly and was told the number is for their card services security group.- Caller: Credit Union Security Group
- Kimberley D.This is definitely a scam and all of the people on here saying it isn't is part of the scam. You leeches need to get real jobs and stop stealing from hard working Americans! The 'company' that contacted us on behalf of our credit union was supposedly a branch of our credit union. It didn't take more than one call and four minutes to find out the truth. I have since given the police a copy of the letter and our credit union has a copy. The third copy is going in the mail to the Attorney General of our state. Seriously, you people are scum.

- raguidoI received a call from this number yesterday. My caller ID indicated that the call was from "Not Available". It was supposedly from a credit-card monitoring company on behalf of my credit union. The lack of a company name made me suspicious. When I picked up the phone, there wasn't a live person on the other end but a recording. This made me doublu suspicious. I checked with my credit union and they indicate that this number WAS legitimate. When I called the number, I found out that my debit card had been compomised. Apparently, there has been an uptick in this type of activity when the stolen number are sold to another party for use. My card user was in Saudi Arabia! Apparently, my card was being used to try to book a hotel room, among there things. So, THIS IS A LEGITIMATE NUMBER!!! I use my debit card for many purchase via Amazon and PayPal. Now I'm very concerned about continuing this. The same thing happened to me less than a year ago.
- Caller: Not Available
- KIM| 1 replyTHE NUMBER WAS ON MY CALLER I.D. BUT WHY WOULD THEY CALL ME IF I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD??? JUST SAYING
- Paul PeterVisa Security, checking on unusual charges on your Visa card. Legit call will help protect your credit. Don't hesitate to answer or call these people back. They protect you.

- concerned citizenThis has SCAM written all over it. I've read several of these post and I can't believe that someone would actually give out their personal information over the phone. You NEVER give out that kind of information to anyone. They wanted us to contact them about fraudulent activity on our account. I received a call from this number at 7:30pm. First red flag - my bank closes at 6:00pm. Second red flag - my bank has warned its customers about scammers and said they would NEVER ask someone their personal information over the phone, because they already have it. I have a great relationship with my bank and they keep us well informed about criminals like this. Don't be a sucker and fall for this garbage. These people make me sick, because they try to steal from honest people who actually work for their money.
