This is definitely ((((( Financial Services ))))) with Verizon Wireless

Received a call from 949-286-3311. It was to my cell phone so I did not answer. I think it was the same one that is saying there is a fraud case against me. Has there been any progress on this? There lines are bought or rented through a company that is linked to Verizon.

A lady emailed me saying she had an opening for an online logistics position and requested an updated resume.  When I sent it, I all of a sudden started getting calls from this number..3 times a day..and they never leave a VM..  My friend said he went through a similar situation with the emails and made the mistake of answering the calls a few times, no one was there, just dead air, but the following month he had 3  $9.95 charges on his phone bill..I'm pretty sure this is a scam, so don't answer..and shame on them for preying on people who are looking for work and already short on cash..karma's coming, pal.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!

I received a call from this phone number earlier today, and after a web search, I read in numerous places this was a fraudulent call claiming to be Verizon Wireless.  I received a call this evening from the same number. The woman claimed she was from Verizon Wireless, and had my first and last name. I asked her why she was calling? She said she was calling regarding a past due balance I have of $253.86. I told her this is not correct and to stop calling. She said "OK" and I hung up.  
I work for a bank and I will recommend the same thing we do for web pages, and phone calls from all companies... If it does not seem correct, call back to the phone number you know (From your VW cell, you can dial #BAL to get a current balance sent to you by text.) or go online from the website YOU are aware of, NEVER go through a site provided to you via email, telephone, etc...

Get a grip people...I just called back and it IS verizon wireless...and yes we are past due...

It's from Verizon when they are trying to call to collect your money

Just got a call from this number at 11:15PM Eastern. Didn't answer but they've been calling all day. Appears likely that the caller is a scam artist posing as VW official and trying to get your credit card or debit card number. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. If you are past due, just use the #BAL function on your phone to pay it or check your balance.

This is Verizon robo calls.  If you are late on your bill, it calls to remind you to make a payment.  It never asks for payment, it says to call Verizon Financial Services or hit #PMT to make a payment.

My bill is due on the 1st and I normally pay it on the 15th (I've made payment arrangements).  About the 14th I start getting robo calls to from this number.  I just view it as a payment reminder.  If you don't pay it in a day or two they start sending texts too.

They call at least 3 times a day I do not answer. If you have call number forwarding on your phone tag that number to just call itself back. That way you will never get a call on that number again.

If you get a real person get his name and ask for a number to call him back. Then if he does call about 3am.

Been getting calls from this number for days, have no idea who it is.  they never leave a message and i never answer it.

Received eight "missed calls" from this number in the last two days on my Verizon cell. Checked on the internet and found this is an Orange County, CA prefix. I had the same problem a year ago with my Verizon cell...months of "missed calls" from another number (a number reported by hundreds of Verizon users).  Eventually, these calls stopped.  But now...here comes a new one.  Never have received these types of calls on my Nextel/Sprint blackberry (a service I've had for more than 10 years).

I've received calls from this person as well, but luckily I never answer calls to numbers I do not recognize. Do any of you do your taxes at H&R Block by any chance?

I have Verizon as well, wonder if that means anything.

The only problem with that is I don't owe anything on our account, and why wouldn't they leave a message? This sounds a little fishy to me. I am also not even the primary account holder, and none of my other family on this plan has any issues at all.

I answered this call and it was legit from Verizon.  It is regarding unpaid balances on your account so if you're getting the call you probably forgot to pay the bill on time.  Or they think you haven't paid it.
