Its verizon letting me know I haven't payed my bill

This number has been calling me at least 3 times a day, and never leave a message.  I tried calling back once, and a recorded voice said it was Verizon.  It did not sound like the times I called Verizon before.  I'm not convinced it is legit.  In the past, they would leave a short voicemail, or send a text.  It is very unprofessional to keep calling and calling and never leave a message.  I am not convinced it is really Verizon.

I just got a call from a customer about this number.  This IS NOT a VZW number and if you are receiving calls from this number you do have an option to block the number.  IF VZW contacts you about your bill and you are unsure about the person you are talking to you can call customer service by dialing *611 from your phone or 800.922.0204.

Its just Verizon's [***] collection automation call.  Your bill is probably past due, this call is to collect the past due balance so that your service doesn't get shut off.

I have been receiving calls from the same number. What is going on? THey keep calling, don't leave messages and one time I picked up and there was no one there so I hung up.

Don't even have Verizon, missed a call from this number on my SKYPE. Never had a Verizon service in my life. I don't owe them anything.

Called verizon, Rep said generally verizon would contact people from an 800 or 877 toll free number, and financial services would not be contacting me if I never had their services.

This is not "just pay your bill". I don't have a bill from Verizon, and never did.

This is not big brother, this is somebody that used available technology creating an "IVR" identical to Verizon's, to fool you into giving over your credit card info. Go ahead and call Verizon yourself, see if you owe them anything, or even if they would call from a 949 area code (Orange County) to try and get payment. Anybody taking so much time to convince you otherwise in these pages is in on the take or a perfectly good mark.

It is Verizon Wireless!  Pay your bill.  It is not a scam.

I received a call from this number too 949-286-3311.  I answered but noise in the background.  Couple minutes later called me again i didn't answer and didn't left a message on my voicemail.  Whoever this person or company they need to stop calling us.

This is a Verizon collections account they like to call when you are a month behind on your billing statement.

I got 4 calls in one day from this number just this last weekend and have gotten sporadic calls in the past month but they always seem to call when I'm away from my phone. Not once has any kind of voice mail been left so I'm not sure what to think of it.

It is Verizon Wireless, it means you are late on your bill!

got a call from 949.286.3311 just after I sent my resume out to a company in "florida" advertising a job in Bermuda (water and wastewater jobs.com)....with my cell number on it...02/15/2011

Just called five (5) times in just under six (6) minutes, two(2) of those calls were 35-40 seconds apart. In addition to the other calls today.This is HARASSMENT big time.

I'm guessing the people saying it's Verizon are associated with the number.

Yes, this is from Verizon and it IS a legit number. I was behind one month on my bill, so after reading all the posts, I made a payment. And then when they called again, I answered. The girl was very polite, and then apologized as she saw that I made a payment earlier.
