It's the Verizon Wireless Finance operator. Nothing to be freaked out about. The voice is female. There are Verizon company's in Orange County, California.

They probably don't speak English.  Or they're calling from another country through a company listed in California. I don't even bother to answer.

as far as I know that this is a Verizon Reminder phone number. this is stupid that "it" keeps calling me with a recorded message. I'm not even the line holder (not on the contract). I feel like they just use an automatic machine caller to call people from their "list". it's really annoying.

They called me earlier today and asked for my ex.. I told them they have the wrong number.. Then they spelled out his first name and asked me if I knew who that was.. Again, I told them they had the wrong number.. AND THEN they did it again.. And once again I told them, "Wrong number! Sorry.." Then they said thank you, and good bye.. I have no effing idea what that was about..

949-286-3311 & 760-300-3419 Get calls from both of these #'s, message says to call Verizon & that this is not a marketing call.  My # isn't the main # on the account & the main# is not receiving these calls.

I have received multiple calls from this number. I finally was able to answer & "Amy" told me I had a remaining balance of $33 on a line I had just disconnected & wanted to know if I wanted to pay this up.  It is true I had a line disconnected & a new line started but I disagreed with "Amy" because I was in fact all paid up with my bills. When I told her I've received calls before from this number telling me to call Verizon's financial department I did indeed do that and they always told me I was all paid up. I told her I did not want to take care of that balance because there wasn't a balance to take care of. I told her she can mail me a statement. She then transferred me to Verizon's customer service department where they told me my account was all paid up.  Verizon then put a block on that number so they can't call me anymore.  My assumption is that it is in fact a scam. I'm not sure how they got the details that I had a disconnected line.  I believe they fool people because they have this number forwarded to Verizon's Customer service when you call it back. And, they ask for a small amount so you might not think twice about it. Once again it reminds me of all of the scams out there & to never give any bank or credit card information. I hope this helps anyone wondering why they keep getting calls from this number!

Same thing keeps happening, I answer and no one is there.  They call like 5 times a day!

Thank you for the information! I got the same messages last week and the 949-286-3311 keeps calling and calling me. Never leaving a message and I just ignore the calls. Thank you for the heads up.

I am tired of being harrassed by calls from this number .I do not answer the calls ,no message is ever left but they keep calling every day . Very annoying !

I sow the message here that someone posted saying that it wasn't from Verizon but a fake so I went online to Verizon Website to block the number

But its saying "! THIS NUMBER CAN NOT BE BLOCKED"
Try it you want to see if you can block it.
I just added it on my contact (no name) and selected "no ringtone" so I could ignore it if it called again

I keep getting calls too!!!!  Saying that they are from verizon....It has got to be a SCAM.  I wish they could find out who this is and prosecute them for fraud AND theft!!

This phone number has called me 4 times in 2 days and leaves no message.

I keep getting messages from this number on my cell phone.  I do not respond and just delete the number....but this one and a few others are suddenly appearing on my cell phone.

I keep receiving calls from this number, i ignore it because I don't recognize it. They never leave a message.

From what I can tell, this is Verizon calling when a customer's account is delinquent (they haven't paid their bill in a couple of months). I enrolled in my bank's BillPay program and that canceled my existing automatic payments with Verizon, so my bills starting stacking up and I didn't know it. After I figured this out and paid off my bills, the calls from this number stopped.
