I am a Verizon customer and this number 949-286-3311 keeps calling my cell phone at least 6 times a day ... most of the time; twice in a row and nobody at the other end!

What can I do to stop this annoying phone calls?

I keep getting calls from this number. Never answer.

I got this call today from this number but the strange thing about these people is that once I block their phone number, they call again with a new number. It sounds like they are using a cell with that app that can show all types of phone numbers in the receiver's caller ID. The only problem is that there still a way they can be traced and sued for billions. I'm on the Do Not Call list.

My wife keeps getting phone calls to her cell phone from 949-286-3311.  She said that today they called 5 times.  She picked it up and they asked for me (spouse) by name.  she replied that she was not him and they said "Tell __(me)____ that he is $$$$ late on his phone bill and to call them back. Since when do companies tell the non intended person about someone else's business, specially that they are late on their payment.
First of all, I am the primary in the account and she is the secondary.  Verizon has specific instructions that only I can make changes to the phone options.  If this is the case, which I know it is, why do they keep calling her and not me?  Normally I get texts from them that my account is past due.  Why can't they send me a text?  Why do they have to keep bothering my wife?
I think this is a scam.

This number has called me multiple times a day for the passed few weeks.  I finally answered and a woman told me that I had a payment that was due from an account I had closed.  I had read that it might be a scam so I told her I would call the Verizon Customer Service number to take care of it.  She had my account information and the last 4 digits of my credit card.  When I called Verizon Customer Service they told me that there was no amount due on any of the accounts with my number on it.  THIS IS A SCAM!!! DON'T GIVE THEM INFORMATION!

Wow! It looks like this has been going on since 2007 with this number and nothing has been done.

The last 3 weeks I have been getting calls from this number up to 5x a day. It has been very annoying and disruptive. One day my voice mailbox was actually full of hang-ups or what sounded like old dial up noise the caller from this number never leaves an actual msg. I called and I emailed a complaint into Verizon regarding the number they dig bat CS agent couldn’t determine if the number belonged to them or not. I pay them for phone service not to get harassed by an automated system that may or may not belong to them or someone they sold my information too.  I am also on the do not call list.

The one time I picked up last week the woman was overly aggressive trying to get my credit card information immediately to make a payment that was supposedly over due. When she couldn’t confirm any of my billing information not even my last name or address. She only had my first name and telephone number which my first name only is on my voice mail so she could have gotten that from there during those numerous other calls. It seemed fishy as a result I refused to give her anything payment or information wise. She got very  hostile raised her voice  and said she "would have my phone shut off in less than 10 minutes and (I) would pay reconnect fee in addition to a fee for breaking my contract “ blah” pay your bill it’s the right thing to do” blah threat blah. I said "sounds fabulous disconnect the phone then you can’t call me anymore!”  She then hung up on me. That heavy handed threat and rant was 6 days ago and my phone is still on.  Callers from this number are for sure a full of crap scum ball scammers.

Plus I checked my Verizon account online it’s actually got a CREDIT from an overpayment NOTHING overdue!  My contract ran out many months ago now so I am month to month a Verizon employee would have known that and been trying to get me to resign another 2 year stint not threatening me at a time when I could dump them.

Calls resumed today 4 so far one would think they would have given up trying to scam someone who already blown them off.  Must be easier being a criminal than trying to get a real job. Verizon doesn’t seem to be doing anything to stop scammer using their name harassing people whether their customers or not.

Yes, someone was able to change my Verizon password - not sure how that happened and order a new phone. It's definitely a scam and Verizon should do something about it.

this number keeps coming up waking me up after having worked night shift. its really pissing me off and from what I can see, this is not a legit number. My Verizon Bill is paid. HOW HOW HOW do I stop this person from calliing me?

these people constantly call for telemarketing purposes

I have been bothered by this caller 4 times in the past 3 days. They never leave a message and I don't answer numbers I don't know. This is however incredibly obnoxious and creepy. I just blocked the number so hopefully it won't be a problem anymore. I wish Verizon would do something about it though.

Legit call from Verizon.  Suggest not doing a transaction with them.  
Either use the 611 function on your phone, or go to a store to make payment.

I answered the call  and the [***] hung up.

Why are we getting a bunch of calls that is background noise only?  bam bam bam

I get 3 to 4 calls a day, morning afternoon and evening. I don't answer and they do not leave a message.

I just called the main number to verizon, & they told me that this number is indeed a real verizon number.
It is used for bill pay, & outstanding bills.
For real, I blocked the number & then called verizon to ask.

Got a call today - from 949-286-3311 - ignored it the 1st time, they called again, about 2 hours later - it was verizon wireless.

We got a call from that number.  It really was Verizon, reminding us that we were late with our monthly payment.  My hubby called the 1-800 number that the caller provided & we made our account current.  This is not a phishing number.  It's really Verizon bill pay reminder service.  If you are getting the calls by mistake/dont have Verizon service, then possibly the phone number you have now, used to belong to a former Verizon customer.

It probably just a number phone companies use to let you know that your bill is past due cuz everytime my bill is late I get a call from that number and I answered it once and it was Verizon asking if I could make a payment and when I told them no, they shut my phone off

when you ask them of course they are gonna say it's not them cuz then you will know who is calling and ignore them. Or the simple fact that they don't know all the numbers they have. If you go into a Verizon store and use a phone in there it shows up a weird number. They could be doing thT too.
