this number calls me several times a week. I reported it to verizon because the one time I did answer they claimed to be verizon. it is a scam. I stoped getting calls from them for a while but it started again.  I attempted to block the # on my verizon account and it said "this number can not be blocked." If you answer the call on accident, do not give them any of your information and tell them to buzz off.

i got a call from this # and i did not answer... cuz i didnt know the #... after reading all the post on here i see that it is Verizon... good thing i didnt answer cuz i havent paid my bill - lol

It's Verizon reminding you that your bill is past due.  I picked it up the other day, and the guy knew what my past due amount is/was and what the minimum payment on my account would be.  Didn't ask for any info -- just told me to go to the Verizon site to pay it.

I received several calls from this number. It is Verizon Wireless. I actually had a late payment I just made online today.  I looked up this number online today cause I'd been getting calls from it but never answered. I just called the number and listened and it said, you just made a payment today....so I think it's legit. so if you're receiving calls...you probably have an acct. past due.

For about 3 days now I keeps get a phone calls from this number 949-286-3311 about 2-3 times /day , they didn't leave a message, when I called back there were a lady voice  from Verizon wireless said  my account has no pass word so they want to know my acct.info. or tax Id. ???? I hang up ! it's a scam . How can I block up this number to  call to my cell phone?. Thanks!

Mary, request that your phone company change your number.  If it is your cell phone change it every three months or so.  It makes these slime creatures chase after you harder.

Please have this person stop calling me.

This number keeps calling but never leaves a msg, if it is a business it's poor practice, if it's private they need to be stopped!

Keep calling 2-3 times daily. No messages. I do not answer, but am tired of the calls. Been going on for over a month now

I called verizon customer service and game them the 1-800 number and they called it and said it was legitimate. I feel bad now because I was a bit rude to the lady that just called me, but in all fairness, they have been calling me asking for someone that doesn't live here and I have been asking them to please stop calling.

got a call just a few minutes ago. didn't answer. called back and it was verizon financial services. it then said we showed a payment was posted to your account. blah blah blah. considering we just made a payment this morning i'm assuming it's some sort of standard confirmation call. nothing creepy happened to me.

I've received calls from 949-286-3311 many time. It doesn't matter early in the morning or late in the evening or at work during daytime. I ignored the call but have received text message regarding Verizon phone bill and asked me to call a toll free number(I don't remember the #.) few times. I am the 3rd line user so I forwarded the message to the 1st line user who told me that he already paid the bill. Besides this issue, I've received many calls from different area code and I ignored every time because I do not know anyone whose phone number with that area code. At home, I have an answering machine so I am able to filter caller before I answer it. BUT it is really annoying. Someone is bored and has NOTHING to do in his/her daily life.

When i answer it's just static.

Not a scam. They call if a payment failed on your Verizon account. Say, you had autopay and it charged back. Or you tried to pay via e-check and it reversed. It's only if you are past due on your account. Sometimes, they call a cell after the number recycles due to non-payment. Just tell them you aren't the droids they are looking for.

I received a call from this number today I have autopay with Verizon.

Iv'e had that # call me three times in a day. I haven't answered and they never left a message. I'm only thirteen and it kinda freaks me out, if it is verison they really need to call my mom or dad instead of annoying me.

Same number on my phone. 9492683311 claiming to be Verizon too.
