i think it's a scam because every time this number calls there is no message, person, no anything. It is easily within the power of Verizon to make sure that their automated phone services work. There fore, the only logical reason why they would have a machine that doesn't do anything call us is to use our minutes.

I recieved a call from 949-286-3311. I missed it. I called it back saying it was Verizon Financial Services. I asked for the last four digits of my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!!! Im a teenager!!!

It is Verizon finance center.They are Verizon but a separate division the two divisions do not talk to each other very well so even though you might not be late the finance might think you are and call you anyways. I have talked to them on this number when they thought I was late but I worked it out and I wasn't. It is not a con they just have a stupid system and they get their facts mixed up.

Got the call too... but it was from verizon, oops!  for got to make my payment and they were reminding me.

This person is trying to scam you.  Asking you to call another verizon wireless 1800 phone # and punch in your password with verizon.  Do not do it!!!  I called up the actual verizon wireless and they said this was a scam.  Be careful.

caller ID says verizon, but they don't respond when I answer the call.

i just got a call from this # also .. it also says to call verizon payment center ... hello i just paid my full balance yesterday , so why would i need to pay anymore !!!! its creepy .. i am going to make sure i didnt get robbed with any identity info !!!!

These are scam artists.  They want the last four digits of your social security number.

Someone called me with this # just now and I didn't answer because I don't know anyone by this #. So annoying.

It seems to really be Verizon, but it's a stupid robot operation. They called about money I really owed, but it was not past due because I had paid the full amount on the last bill they sent.

I think they dial automatically and a human comes on the line only when the call is answered. The "hangups" may happen when their call center semi-humans don't react in time.

The other comments on this site make me suspect the droids sometimes have wrong or obsolete information.

(It's unlikely but conceivable that the same number is also used for scams.)

dont know why someone from this number is calling but i dont appreciate it.

ive been getting called by this number twice a day at the same time everyday for the past week..and the weird thing is, when i ignore the call, the same number calls my house phone a second later!! and they ALWAYS call when im sleeping which is SUPER annoying..anyone know how i can block this number??

3 calls in a row, about 3 minutes apart. No response first call. Other calls ignored.

This number call me twice. I didnt recognized it, so I didnt answer. I dont know anybody from that area.code

Its Verizon Wireless they are just calling to see when you are able to pay your bill they are very friendly just got a call and told her the date and that was it
