Dead calls from this number - hangs when answered.

If it IS Homeserve, then they deserve to lose my business at renewal.

If I were making annoying calls of this type I would expect to suffer some penalty - so I guess they should.

This is a NUISANCE CALLER.

Got the today but hung up as no-one spoke on the other end of the line. Now i know its homeserve i'll monitor the calls and simply reject them in future.

3 calls today but didn't and wont answer any thanks to Google!

This caller rings repeatedly and has now become a pest.  Despite registering for unwanted calls they ring regularly,however this will never be answered so they are wasting their time.

They have been phoning me about 3 times a day about an hour apart.  We are registered with the TPS and we are ex-directory yet they still phone.  We are not homeserve  customers and never will be (if this is the correct number).  I work nights, this means I am trying to sleep when they call.

has anyone had any luck getting them to stop calling?

They just called again, this time I managed to talk to them.  It is Homeserve apparently they can call me on behalf of Anglian water who I am a customer off  - (I guess they can call anyone since we all have a local water board connected to them)

The sales rep was apologetic (I do feel some sympathy for the person, not the company)  I requested they take me off their database (which he said he was) and I refused to do business with them because they make nuisance calls.  I will let you know if I get another call.

I am sick of this number calling my mobile and always hanging up. I called Homeserve and they promised it would not happen again. I have had three more calls today alone.

I've had at least 2 calls today. Had policies with them and also had dealings with them acting for our insurance company when kitchen flooded and I definitely wouldn't give them any business anyway!  They made a right mess of that!

Another computer generated nuisance call or what please?

im not a customer of homeserve and have no wish to be. am also on tps but seems to make no difference whatsoever and the new laws that came out recently are obviously being ignored as i recieve approx 2 personal phone calls per wk and at least 7 every day from marketing or scams. It seems our landlines these days are just gateways for scammers and marketing. i google every number that calls and each one has hundreds of people complaining about these frustrating calls. It makes me wonder wether people in power also get these call..i presume not as its a case of if its not on my doorstep!?
I rang the freephone customer service number to have my landline removed from their calling list.to do this they needed my name and address... i know this will be sold on to another company and so the circle carries on! oh yeah..apparently it takes up to 4 wks for ur number to be removed, il believe it if it happens

I had a missed call from 01922 420057 so googled the number to see if I could find out who it was.  Having read all your comments I guess it was a company called homeserve but I've never had dealings with them or any other company to insure the pipes in my home.  Not sure why they'd be calling me...?

I have had the same thing for the past few days to my mobile... I haven't answered and judging by other posts I will not be doing so!

Have had several calls from 01922 420057 today. I have been a Homeserve Customer until I recently cancelled my policy. They will now be trying to get my custom back I presume. No doubt these calls will continue until I actually answer .

Just had a call from Homeserve ,I hung up straight away.

I have been having these calls in the last few days.

The first time they told me that they were calling because I'm a Yorkshire Water customer.

If Yorkshire Water have provided them my personal details then that is against the law (see http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/29/p ... f-personal-data) and I think that we should be focussing on the company selling our data rather than Homeserve.

I'm seriously considering lodging a legal complaint against Yorkshire Water

this number has called us every day as well. I was sure it must be someone my partner knows and then I googled the area code and got to this page, listing the same number that 1471 tells me has been calling us every day for a week or so - 01922420057.  Incredible.  thank you for posting.

This number rings every evening around 7pm.  No one is on the other end.
