Hung Up !!

I got called by Danny 'from Santander' today on 01922420057.
He was intrusive and asked for my information then said 'I can see you have your mortgage with us' (which I dont)
when the call ended I rang Santander and they didnt know anything about this call.
All v strange

Call regularly for a week or so then stop. Then they start again, however, they have never left a message. Really, really iritating and beginning to get on my nerves.

Sorry should have said, the calls were received from 01922 420057, but I have spoken to anyone, and nor do I want to !

This number has been on Panorama recently.
I get a few a day.

It's a scam designed to make you ring back so that they can charge you ridicuous amounts every second you are on the phone.

Oh, it's not actually Homeserve or anyone they say they are. If you do talk to someone, they choose a legitimate company for you to get annoyed at.
DON'T RING THEM BACK OR GIVE ANY INFORMATION.
If you have a relationship with a company who they say they are, ring the company number from post you've received.

Please stop calling this number

Complain to the Information Comissioner.
This company openly ignores any Telephone Prefrence Service agreement, so report them via this webpage.

yet another number i dont recognise when i dial 1471. i never answer my phone as most calls i get are now unwanted ones, rather use my mobile, at least i know who its going to be, land lines have become nuisance calls mostly.

I agree, I've been getting the same thing on my mobile, a night and during the day at work, as well as weekends - would like to know how they got my mobile number too!

My daughter sent me a text while on holiday in bulgaria asking me to check this number for her as she has had loads of calls from them and was worried it was an important call, thank goodness I did check before she decided to call it back.

These people were supposed to remove my details from their database back in June, when they tried to flog me Thames Water Insurance.

Now it's Santander. I have written a letter to the ICO.

I got call from this number today and they left 0845 number in message.

Been getting calls from this number and I'm just not answering it but they are NOT giving up. I guess from this internet search that its a crank call. Should be illegal.

I've constantly had calls from them now for months.

They always ring me on my mobile when I'm at work. They must have a auto-dial as I get 2 second voicemails, and sometimes they even start to speak before realising they're actually on voicemail. It's quite funny to listen to sometimes.

I've had various different numbers ring me, and each time I 141 ring back, and find out it's them, put them on my call reject list. They keep trying with different numbers. Hopefully they will run out soon enough.

Thing is, I have managed to answer once in the past, they tried to sell me a policy for £1 for the first year, and I kept saying no thanks, but this guy kept persisting and couldn't understand why I didn't want it for £1. Well, surely if anyone is selling something for £1 it's got to be rubbish right...I just kept saying well if my water main breaks, we will fix it ourselves, just like if anything else breaks in our house. He seemed shocked that people would actually do that.

I told him to take my name off the call list. No such luck, about 1 month later they started again.

I'm going to ring Severn Trent tomorrow, as they really shouldn't be giving out contact details without my knowledge. I'll give them a piece of my mind.

Oh, and they probably send me about 1 letter a week too.

It is homeserve, call them on 0800247999, and demand they stop these unwaranted calls.

Had a call from this number today (5/9/11). Fortunately, I missed it. When you call back there is an answer message that confirms it is Homeserve. I have no contracts with them so as far as I'm concerned it is a nuisance call.
