This number has called my mobile phone repeatedly. I'm not prepared to pay to speak to whoever they are. Does anyone know if TPS applies to mobile phones aswell as landlines?

I was called on my mobile by these people today! Asked if they could speak to the home owner?  So I was cagey and asked who they were and who exactly they wanted to speak to. Said said they were from Severn Trent and wanted to speak to Mr X Y - just quoting initials - which are my initials.  I foolishly told them my surname and then they said - oh sorry perhaps Ive rung the wrong person and hung up.  I rang back and got the message "This is Homeserve and we will call you back etc.."
We too are on the TPS service! Not impressed.

have been getting at least one call a day for months, sometimes there is actually someone there who cant talk to me cos its not my name on his list.  It is homeserve but not Severn Trent, I live on the east coast. I think homeserve is an insurance co. for all water boards in England. Am now going to email them advising that I will take legal action if they don't stop.

Call continue on my mobile despite complaints to both Homeserve and Severn Trent Water for giving my number out.

Same story here, on TPS etc, had four calls so far over a fortnight.

Rang me using my former surname so always a bit suspicious - when i asked where they had my number from he said Severn Trent had given it to them!  Phone call going in to Severn Trent.....!

Just got yet another call at work from them, when I've told them before not to call me at work.  Last time, the bloke was rude and asked how they were supposed to get hold of me then!  Well, I never asked them to!  Today, although I told them I had taken out home emergency cover elsewhere (which I have), they still asked if that covered this & that.  Why bother?  I've already taken out cover.  Hardly likely to buy extra stuff from them too!  I don't like pushy companies.  The company I did go with, I contacted them, after seeing an ad.  They did not contact me and they got the business.  Lol!

I found out it was homeserve. To stop the unwanted calls go onto their website, go to complaints and write in the complaints box that you are sick to death of the calls and aren't interested. I got a letter off them today apologising and that they would take my number off their system!! Here's hoping now they will leave us alone!!

have been at home for most of the day and my normal habit is to never answer the home telephone at any time but instead let it go to answer phone as I hate answering the phone due to cold callers. This number has called 4 times today with no message being left. Dialing 1471 has revealed this number. Theyr'e pretty persistant or what! Am not ex directory or anything but wish they'd [***] as these kind of people are the reason why I no longer pick up the phone at home.

this number keeps calling my personal mobile number upto 5 times a day.I have no idea who this could be. If I answer its quiet but is i miss the call they then leave an automated message on my voicemail and on my current tariff i get charged to hear my messages - most annoying!!!!

I've just used their website as mentioned previously to log a complaint.

This number has phoned my mobile twice every day for the last week, at various times of the day, including 7.10pm.  I refuse to answer my phone to numbers I do not recognise.   However the first few times they left an automated answer phone message saying it was Homeserve now they do not leave a message.   I do not know how they got my mobile number and why they keep trying to phone me I will continue to ignore their calls.

This number calls me 3 times a day never leaves a message. I am no where near Severn Trent water board either another scam.

Yet another call yesterday from Homeserve asking for me.  They bombard you with calls or via United Utilities in the post for unnecessary pipe cover. Follow the link above to http://www.homeserve.com/contact and complain.

previous notes are dated 2008 this week Dec 2010 I received a call from this number and have done so for many weeks.  So whatever action might have been taken has made no difference whatsoever. I t is infuriating to be called to the phone for nothing/  How distressing it must be for a disabled person who might have great physical difficulty getting to the phone.   I find it bad enough if I have to leave something I am doing to answer the phone and then find it is in vain.

I've had 3 calls from this number in the past 3 working days to my mobile; they hang up when I answer.  Very annoying!

phoned twice today then hung up when answered .I thought it was a nuisance call which I suppose it was.

Dear Callers- I have just called Homeserve and they told me they use an automated dialler to call house-holds. I told them I was receiving numerous calls from 01922 420057 over a number of weeks. Whilst they didnt comment on whether they were responsible for calling from that number, they did apologise and say they would email their marketing department to remove me from their calling list. Lets just wait and see. Just wantedd to update the website so people know you are not being stalked (except possibly by Homeserve). Homeserve's customer care number is 0800 247 9994.

I get up to four calls a day from them, it's ridiculous.  I have had them in my phonebook as 'do not answer' for two years but it has now got really bad, and we are getting calls nearly everyday.  I suspect their database of numbers is poor and they are scraping the barrel to try and get new business.

I have just complained to TPS but I don't hold much hope.
