After reading all these comments I am so confused as to why this number is calling me every week! I don't own a house, pay water bills and they keep calling my mobile! I never answer and I won't call back. Is there a service like TPS for my mobile??I keep my mobile number very private and don't know how or why they call me!

Nuisance calls every day

I'Ve had numerous calls from this number plus lord knows how many other calls from other telemarketers and I can tell you that you are wasting your time trying to stop them or have them shut
down :  there is no organisation whether they are Government Quangos or Telephone Companies that have any interest in even bothering to solve the problem of telephone harassment: OfCom can't be bothered as it,s not something they deal with and the telecoms companies make money from these calls: the fines imposed for such offences are derisory and with so many loopholes that the telemarketing companies know they can get away with it and so it goes on!  Until the Law makers
start getting tougher these calls will continue ad infinitum.  I speak as an employee of many years with
two of the World's largest International Telecoms companies and it really angers me that Joe Blow gets
such a raw deal.

Had two calls from this number but no one on other end. After a little investigation I believe it has something to do with severn trent water.

I have had a missed call and now read this I will not bother calling it back. I think they are trying to be clever using what appears to be a normal landline number trying to seel you stuff.

they call all the time and i dont have homeserve!  its getting annoying!

Same with me - four calls on my mobile today and the message "You were called today by Homeserve, we will try again later." When I called back.

Been deluged with calls from this number , eventually answered it yesterday.  They sold me a £1 deal to insure the water pipes (alluding to Severn Trent) for a period of 11 months.  Like a divvy I gave them my bank sort code and card number (but not security code or pin) and blow me down, guess what?   Today, I get a call from my bank to say that my card has been cloned and someone has been attempting to purchase something from the Apple Online Store with my card!!

Be careful folks - if you don't want to be Done Over tell them to DO ONE!!

Technically speaking, if they took your bank sort code and card number (sic) (account number..if it was the long card number they would have no need to take the sort code) they wouldn't be able to purchase anything online as they'd require the 16 digit number.

Infuriating calls from this number everyday and no message left.

Friday, 24th March 2011 and Saturday, 25th March 2011 - telephone calls from 01922420057.  We have picked up the 'phone after the second ring only to find no noise or dialling tone.  Is it Homeserve as suggested in one of messages on this site?

we keep getting phone calls all day every day from homeserve! They always have silent calls, If they ring and we dont answer they dont leave a message. They did ring once a few months ago asking if we wanted to double up 2 policies which was going to cost us even more cash, so we declined, since then we have been inundated with phone calls from them!

i have just emailed the customer services department for homeserve with this message :

please stop calling my home phone from phone number 01922 420057..i will most definately cancel my policy with you if the calls do not stop,i will also be contacting watchdog as i can see i am far from the only one suffering from nuisance calls from this number,they are irritating and a complete waste of everyone's time.

now we'll see if the calls actually stop !!!

Why the hell should I have to contact you when I am registered with the Teleohone Preference service and you should not call! Anyway with a bit of luck business will be bad and you will be out of work soon.

i am so sick of these people ringing my number, there should be a way to blocl these calls.

Why am I receiving these calls in South Wales? I just don't answer and I've told my parents. Does anyone else in Wales have this problem?
