00501

Silence.....beep, then hung up!

hier ook hetzelfde, ook al een aantal malen gebeld.
2 maal het nummer 00501; een vrouw die zegt goodbye en daarna 3 gemist.
Gisteren een nummer 00253820308, vandaag een verborgen nummer, weer met goodbye.
Tele 2 zegt hier ook niets mee te kunnen en benoemde dat ze niet zomaar je computer inkunnen.
Zal strax ook nog een melding bij de politie doen.

this no. called at 4.39, nearly didnt answer becouse it was such a strange no.. When I answered nobody spoke, complete silence.

had a phone call from 00501 then they said who i was then i put the phone down they got through my landline and hacked my computer saying they needed money to clean my computer from viruses.it is a con.my network wont help until it happens again.

They just called my work number, asked if this was a business or resident number then hung up?! Had huge amounts of latency on the line, and was a very very Indian sounding guy on the other end.

Got called by this number the other morning - but no message left. Thought the number was familiar but this time there  was an extra zero in front (previously was just 0501). Anybody see the Panorama programme on BBC TV (2/7/2012). TPS seems to be doing it's job but the Regulator hasn't imposed a fine on anyone found to be flouting the rules on cold-calling. JUST FOR THE RECORD - REGISTERING WITH TPS NEED ONY BE DONE THE ONCE. NOT ANNUALLY AS SOME OF THESE NUISANCE CALERS WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE!!

I meant to say that TPS is doing a good job in passing over so many complaints / month over to the Telecomms Regulator. Not that TPS was effective at stopping the nuisance calls but if companies are hell-bent on flouting regulations, then it's up to the regulator to use whatever teeth it has got at it's disposal. Nothing will change unless they start doling out some pretty high fines - and soon!

vandaag een telefoon nummer gemist 00501. maar daarvoor ook al regelmatig geen nummer pak ik dan op hoor je even niets en dan goodbye . echt ergelijk zal straks kpn eens bellen

I began to think they'd forgotten me , I haven't had a call for week or so , usually get them at 11.40 am !
But had one today
My hubby built my computer and has Microsoft qualifications and son is an IT graduate..... I must dig those out to quote them next time. Tho I did tell them in no uncertain terms not to phone back.
My AVG checks everyday, if they want to hack it they'll be disappointed in what they find on it, may make them laugh, but there are no personal details on here and and any Social network site has false details of me.

I'm fed up of these rubbish calls. How do they know my name? I didn't aknowledge who I was, but pretended I was daft and eventually they hung up.

net weer gebeld door 00501, ditmaal een man die vertelde dat er storingen op m'n computer waren ben er niet verder op ingegaan. dit nr. komt waarschijnlijk uit belize.

On my mailbox I could see a call from 00501, after reading the respons on internet I am glad not to be at home at that time

Gebeld vandaag 10-juli 2012 4x. Er wordt niets gezegd en na ongeveer 5 sec. wordt er zachtjes gezegd "goodby". En dat iedere keer

Got called yesterday and day before, said my name in dutch. disconnected after 10-20 second silence with a short goodbye.
Today again, but did not tell my name. Eventually someone responded in very bad english. Introduced himself and the company (clearly read from a note) and told me he called because of my computer problems. After my laughing had stopped and asking for the person name and company again I got disconnected.

I was called by this number several times Yesterday. The first couple of times they hung up after some 15 seconds staying `Thank you`. The last time a lady with an Indian accent started a whole conversation about beind from Microsoft, they could proove it by stating the product identification key of my windows installation, which she indeed did!!! I was suspicious because they call to my wife´s telephone that I have never used in any communication so it had to be a scam.

She told me that they (Microsoft) received many warnings from my computer that something is not working well.

Finally she told me to download a program called AA_v3.exe. I quickly googled that and found out that some version of it was rated as a threat. I didnt download it and hung up the phone.

She actually had the nerve to call me back a couple of minutes later but I told her that if Microsoft really wanted to fix something on my computer, they would most likely act different.

volgens mij staan we dan op dezelfde telefoonlijst, want ik werd net ook gebeld door dit nummer van "microsoft".
ik zei dat als hij idd van microsoft was, dat hij dan ook wist welke versie van windows ik dan gebruikte, en helaas hij gokte verkeerd en hing toen op.

i think we are on the same telephone callinglist, cuz i just got a call too from this "Microsoft" number.
he said that he was from microsoft, and that my computer was sending microsoft msg that my computer was downloading harmfull virusses.
i said that if he was from microsoft he should know what kind of version of windows i use, he guessed wrong and hang up.

HOAX!!!

I got 2 calls today as well, from a microsoft guy. Would get me some support. He offered me to check if I had some Harmfull virusses. If had to follow only a few steps, it should take 2-3 minutes. I didn't believe him so far, so I asked for the site. He gave me www.support.microsoft.com. The site was unauthorized and an error appeared. So I didn't believe him at all. I said to him I would ask my brother in law for more information and details. Then he hang up.

Be warned, it's fraud!
