Why is it australians say "awesome" to everything but english people say "not too bad"...what does that mean its bad but not all the way bad as opposed to not too good which means its good but not really good.  So not too bad means its good and not to good means its bad.....I am sure the French and germans are glad to get rid of us..we eeeze crazy

So it seems that the government is going to charge to appeal rates to get rid of the no win no fee comapmies as they have clogged up the system with appeals.

So it would seem. There is a definite thought now that the no win no fee companies are the actual ones who have not only clogged up the system with unnecessary appeals but also actually do no work....they wait and see if other agents get reductions in the area and sit on their shirt tails to get the same and then charge the client 50% for the entire block. With vat they more than the client. You don't get something for nothing and it is logical to understand to do the work properly there is a cost. If you are no win no fee who pays the cost of the work needed........easier not to do the work and wait and get money for nothing.

I have been saying this for ever. How can any company take on hundreds of clients and do the work with a RICs Chatered Surveyor basically for nothing. It does not pan out. Either those that get a reduction are charged for everyone else's appeals which is not really fair or they don't actually do the work and just hope for the best to charge ridiculous amounts and make huge profits............

Hear hear! You have to expect to pay and if a company says pay at the other end how are they paying to do the work properly.....in this day and age the days of no win no fee are diminishing. The accident type are not allowed any more and you have take out insurance.....I have never understood the expectation of folk who think that a company will be able to do the work and if there is no result absorb the cost? It's obvious that they just don't do the work and hope for the best......I have seen so many cases from no win no fee that have not had a reduction for another company to take it on and get one....

Very entertaining stuff.  Try and throw as much mud around as possible and hope some sticks.

How do companies work on no win no fee?  Easy, we look for errors in the rating list, and seek instructions from those ones, rather than doing what cowboys do and target either absolutely anyone, or ones where there is no chance of getting a reduction and charging up front, then coming up with some BS afterwards "The Valuation Officer has investigate the case and unfortunately has decided that the RV cannot be reduced".  What a surprise!!

The thing is, we can see what you do, we can prove it, and we are taking action against you.  We know that cowboys will NEVER take a client to court for non payment for fear of being completely exposed by a reputable expert.

They took 70£ from my card and telling we gone reduce your bussiness rate and save you thousand of pounds and will take 770£ when the VAO reduce my rate...got in contact with the valuation office and they have explained to me anyone or myself can put an appeal and they will send me and acknowledgement letter in any case why these scammers getting 770£ for and acknowledgementioned letter they need to be in prison

I had the same problem, used my card for a friend to pay initial money £140. Told them this was a one off and nexr invoice should be made to him. Informed Barclaycard not to allow these people to take any money from my card. Was assured a marker had been placed on my account. Next thing Barclaycard have paid £700 to the Clements Agency. When i dispute this the money is returned to my account whilst they chase up the reclaim from TCA. The TCA send barclaycard a letter which reports to say i agreed to pay (but doesn't actually) and asked Barclaycard to support them against my 'fraudulent claim' which they did and recharged me the £700. I queried this with them and was told unless the money was part of a standing order or direct debit they could not stop them from taking the money but would pursue recovery in the event of it being taken. As i have already said they agreed with the CA and I lost, but was given a £25 good will payment. Therefore I don't hols out much luck with your claim from the bank. (original letter 11 Aug 2015 with 16 replies, how can I get to see the replies?)

So the Clements agency are trying to scam us, they filled an appeal against rates without our knowledge and then send a bill saying they were acting under our instructions, then it goes further and they have the balls to take it to court, how people like this can exist I don't know, they need to be sent back under what ever rock they crawled out from under...

I was telephoned regarding a reduction in my business rates from a company called Clements Agency Group. They requested over £600 for the pleasure which i paid.
They sent me certain pieces of paperwork and i checked the Valuation Office and seen an appeal had been raised.
I received no more letters and have tried to call Clements and it said on answerphone all our agents are busy i then tried many more times with the same response
i called the voa tribunal and they said that they think that Clements had gone into liquidation and wanted to know if anyone knows if they have gone and if anyone else has heard of or had a problem with this company.

Not sure if they have stopped trading but they were formally doing business as Hammer Properties. By the looks of it they have started a new company called Comprehensive Business Solutions LTD, they have more then likely done this to avoid legal issues with people such as yourself. Both companies have the same director, Susan Leslie (Associcated with Hammer Properties) and are both registered to the same address 395 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London, E17 9AP. The last information I got Clements were operating out of an office in Loughton, Essex. The Clements Agency Group
