Had a call from 01252 576376 asking for occupant details of a neighbouring address (names etc..).    They said something that sounded like Telegram.  Dodgy.

I just had a text with a phone number and reference code, and when I called up (wouldn't usually bother but I'm due a replacement bank card) they asked me to confirm my address (which they already had). When asked for my DOB I refused...glad I did.  If I start to receive anything from them I'm going to unleash on them!!!  I have no debts so there's nothing that they can pin on me - don't fall for anything as it's clearly not debt-related, they're just trying their luck. Also got a call from this number saying they are from the telegram office, wanting to know if I still lived at my address, I asked how they got my mobile number but wouldnt tell me so hung up on them, reaks SCAM - do not give your details to these people - also range on a different number

My partner got a call this morning from someone asking for me and if he could confirm that I lived at this address and that they were from The Telegram Office and had been holding some letters for me and now could forward them on unfortunately he confirmed that I did, thinking no harm in it, when I got in and checked it was from the number 01252 576371 I don't owe any debts so I checked online and found this site, glad I did.

My mother had a call from them, although she was out at the time - she found the number on her phone doing 1471 and was a bit concerned as we have family/friends who live within this telephone exchange zone!! thankfully she didn't ring them back - I did call them though and they said that it could have been a letter or something for somebody else not my mother!!?? they also couldn't find anything on their system with her telephone number!!!!!! they said that they must have missdialled!!! All sounds very fishy too me!!! some sort of scam - be warned!!!!!!!

phoned me at work - not good - said they were from the telogram office and that i owed money which i definitely do not. feel very harassed.

got a call from this 01252576376 claiming to be a telegram company and they had a telegram to deliver to my neighbour. They knew my name but I didnt divulge any other info. Are they checking up on me or my neihbour can someone shed any light on this!!!!

my stepdad has had letters from telogram and hl regarding"validating and updating databases that hold information about individuals prior to mailing communications"
i have looked at all your messages and am going to use the info to contact the police, get a crime number and then contact the oft and the solicitors registration authority (no 68819).
these pricks need to be stopped, i called capquest last week regarding a payment they lost and asked if they used telogram and they said they had in the past. il just check my debts and if they are more than 6 years old declare statute barred and they can shove that up their [***].
they keep asking about previous addresses but he has been living here for over 20 years and my debts are mine, not his.

01252 576454, 0870 084 3585. I think they are Capquest, some kind of debt collecting agency. Not sure why they are picking on me - it's getting to be a right royal pain each time the phone goes!

Got a call from these fraudsters today (8.11.10) saying they have a parcel for a neighbour. I didn't give them the neighbours number which they asked for.  The name they gave does not register with my neighbour.  They said were operating from Glasgow. I found it all very suspicious as the telephone number they called me on was a work mobile number and is not linked to my home address as it is billed to my office which is in a different town.  
They sound ligitimate even giving a bogey reference no.
I wouldn't trust them !!!!!

I received a call from this company last week stating they were looking for my husband, and gave his name.  As we have been separated for 7 1/2 years, I was suspicious and asked where they had got my personal mobile number from.

I was advised that they had found MY data from a Data Supply company, who I subsequently phoned to ask them to investigate.

Given that I have been living 200 miles away for the past 7 years, I am deeply concerned that they were able to find my number in relation to my ex husband, especially as I am aware that he has accrued a high amount of debt, none of which relates to me!

got a call requesting the address of a relative not seen in years.  They would not give me any details and spoke extremley fast making it impossible to ask many and they also had there own answers asuming they were correct.  Bulldozers have nothing on these guys.....

Found a message on my answerphone today (4 Jan 2011).  Overseas gentleman said the Telegrams Office had correspondence for me, reference 3663C8, asked me to call 0800 542 6416 (when I dialled 1471, the number was 01252 576376), so the scammers continue.....

I have been receiving many calls from Capquest. I have always ignored them and also just sent back any letters sent as person not living here any more. I got a text message this morning from Telogram and have and will ignore it. I do have outstanding debts but because of a relative who works in the finance industry have now the proof that they cannot chase me anyway. The debt they appear to be chasing was previously held by a Scottish firm who I requested a copy of the original signed credit agreement. AS I understand it, this document has to be sent back in 40 days or under (12 days to find the document and 28 days to deliver it), which has not happened because the request was sent several months ago. Unless I am mistaken, the company chasing the debt has to have access to the document or else legally thay can't take any action. I have kept copies of the letters sent and replies, none of the replies have indicated any advice regarding my request and the documents have never been sent.
I have moved since the request was sent, but this was 2 months after the letters were sent and replies had been received. Interestingly, having been unemployed since September 09 the previous company who I dealt with refused my offer of payment and subsequently failed to provide the information requested.

I received a letter from this company last September and they knew the company I owe money to and the exact amount I still owe. I gave them my details and sent a personalised budget sheet offering them what I could afford. I heard nothing back until last Saturday (12th Feb) when I received a letter from HL Legal Solictors wanting full payment or they would take me to court by 18th Feb. I rang them this morning and they told me that they had not received any contact from me whatsoever since the first letter and this was why they had issued the solicitors letter. I explained that I had spoken to them on several occasions and sent them information in Sept last year and they denied receiving anything or even having my home phone number
I have received calls from this firm since last September, by the time I answer the phone it goes dead.

I have just looked up their website address so that I could resend my budget sheet as per their request and found this site which is telling me that Capquest and HL legal are scammers - what should I do ? yours worryingly, Sharon
