- charlenei got a letter from telogram this mornin looking for someone else. the usual what everyone else has got saying they were looking for her new residence and they got the address from equifax. i never heard of this person so should i call them or bin the letter.
- lisa turnermy husband has received a letter this morning from telogram saying capquest has an obligation to update their file with data concerning change of addresses. they have given an old address where he used to live as his last known address. we dont know what to do. do we respond or ring them. after reading these comments, i am convinced not to respond! they have threatened us with the same action of contacting neighbours etc. as far as we are aware he didn't leave any debt at his old address.
- Miss Jane - 20th March 2008I have received a letter from Telogram (with the 'phone number - 01252 576376 as contact) requesting verification of my current residential address etc. Clearly they have this, as the letter was delivered but I am not the person they are looking for, as whilst the name is nearly accurate, the previous known address means absolutely nothing to me. Should I ring them to explain this?
- lizParents also recvd a letter today and a couple of phone calls..thought it was illegal to call neighbours or talk to anybody else about anything relating to other people called DATA PROTECTION ACT!!
- Caller: Telogram acting for Capquest

- debbie fordTook a call asking if I was.....I said I haven't used that name for 20 years, asked me to confirm my present address, previous address and the name I went by now. Then requested dob. I asked why. They said they have a package for me and wouldn't tell me anymore unless I gave them dob. They had all this info on me. I said that when Royal Mail/DHL etc have a package they are usually only armed with name and address of recipient. How come they have all this info and then need dob. I logged this call with police.

- Joe, WarsawMy partner's 80-year-old mother received a call from this number, a man asking for her (partner) followed by a letter asking partner to contact them as they needed to update info to prevent 'investigations being carried out'. Partner rang the 01252576376 number out of curiosity, was told they 'had letters for her'.
She blasted them for harassing her old mother, told them she hadn't lived at home for decades and threatened to take action against them if she heard anything further from them.
They seem to employ rather dim people.
As far as she knows my partner has no outstanding debts.- Caller: Telogram
- DibbaHad a call last month from a guy from this number asking about our neighbours address but gave the wrong name. Today a letter turned up at my Mothers home, addressed to me (wrongly spelt)from TELOGRAM - same number as above. I have not gone by my maiden name in nearly 20yrs - no idea what all this is about.
My Dad only died 8 months ago and Mum is really upset - especially with the threat by this company to "undertake outbound telephone calls to various sources including neighbours to verify the information supplied is correct"
Unsure what to do?- Caller: TELOGRAM
- Happyif anyone gets a call asking for someone give them this number as whoever they are asking for 01614803223 its a payphone and doesn't accept incoming calls it might send the message to them that they have been rumbled
- EmI just received two phonecalls from the Telogram Office within a couple of hours of each other, the first from a woman and the second from a man, both with a South African accent. They were asking for information about my neighbours and said they are having difficulty trying to contact them as they have a parcel waiting to be delivered to them. Fortunately those neighbours moved a year ago so couldn't give them details even if I fell for it, but they did give me a phone number and ref. number to pass on to my new neighbours in case they have any contact details!!!! Sounds too much like a scam to me.
Not so funnily enough, I just remembered very similar calls received a few months ago but from a catalogue company and a solicitors! Sounds like the same people to me - these people obviously try every trick in the book!
Unfortunately I'm not exdirectory (though will be soon) but as they already have my name, number and my address, I'm guessing collected from the phone book, is there any way I can stop them phoning?? This is sooo dodgy!
It worries me as to what other information they can find out about me.- Caller: Telogram Office
- mei have received 2 letters from this company, 1 being they r going to take me to court. after the first letter i rang and spoke to them telling them i am no longer associated with my ex and havenot since i left the property he lived in for 2 years after i left. russell john beasley my ex from northampton owes money i beleive to lots of people and is deliberlaterly trying to blacklist me and this company is trying to make me pay a bill i am not and never have been responsible for pay for. so let them take me to court because i have the revelvant information to prove them wrong. how dare they contact me this way. i have been honest and legitiment in paying my debts before and while i was with and after i divoreced this so called human i married. this is a misbused of trust and loyatly to any company that is legitamate in doing there job. i hope one day they get what there desevere and we all no what that is
- Mr AntHad a call from this lot today (25th April 10:32am) and the called started with asking if this was *my address* to which I replied "Yes". He then went on to ask me if I knew a chap who lives 2 doors away and mentioned him by name, saying they had a package to deliver to him. I simply told them that if they had a package for that house then they needed to actually call that house, not a neighbour and hung up.
Should I be worried that I confirmed my address? I gave no other details whatsoever. - mr elusivethese are high profile debt collectors, you owe you pay....but please ignore them and past them on to data pro act, police and threaten them with court action...they go away.

- anonRecd call 2day from 01252 576376 v much like you people. Sed they were holding mail for neighbour. Name tho of neighbour was wrong. They asked me to confirm neighbour's address and name and I pretended that I did not know the details they were giving me. However, took their number and said I would go to neighbour anyway and give a message if they wanted me to. The msg was to call them on the 01252 number, they gave a ref no and the name of the person they were holding mail for (certainly not my neighbour's name). They called themselves Telogram (play on Telegram) and chap's name was Rosko. Accent had American twang. Call me double suspicious, but I would not even give out any personal details on this site - they could be monitoring it.
