This number rang asking me to confirm my surname then asked if I knew another person living local with the same surname.I did not give any information to this person.

Have been mithered all week from this company number 01252 576454 asking fror private details.  One hung up when I repeatedly asked who they were.  Another had the nerve to tell me my postcode was wrong after I stupidly gave it over.  Be very aware.they are agressive ont he phone, and will not tell you what they want until you give over information.

01252576376 - Called today asking to confim who lived next door to me. Said that they had important letter to deliver of a sensitive nature. They wouldn't confirm who they were but they wanted there neighbour work number.... Rather strange

This company are called Capquest, they are working on behalf of Royal Bank of Scotland, and they are a debt collector, unpleasant one at that!!! They hound you with letters and phonecalls, I've had 25 calls off them this week so far and ive even paid them my weekly amount!!!
They get £150 off me a week and yet still are not satisfied with that!!! I transfer my payments to them weekly via online banking, therefore dont have to speak to them......... Yet they still insist in hounding me via telephone!!!!

just had a call from these peolpe telling me they had mail for a neighbour, and did I know anything about them? sounded very suspect so hung up.

My husband received a call from these people today asking for me, they stated they had a letter that needed to be forwarded onto me from my previous address in Germany.  I haven't lived there since 2006.  They also used my maiden name, My husband enquired as to who they were and all they would say was that they are a telegrams office forwarding letters onto people, he couldn't get any more info out of them, they asked if I still resided at that number and he said no, they did not try and check the home address.  I have now researched and discovered that their real name is
CapQuest.  They are a debt collecting agency for banks, mortgages, credit cards etc.... they even buy really old debts that are almost due to expire on the 7 year rule. They are based in the UK and Cape Town.  However they are regulated by the CSA and they are not allowed to contact neighbours, nor our they allowed to harrass you in any way, nor are they allowed to threaten to come into your home.  The only time they can come into your home with the police is due to unpaid utilities bills, which they don't deal with anyway.

I had a call on my overseas number today called them back via Skype to be told they are a mail forwarding company, what a load of bollocks there a cheap low life debt agency who sit very close to breaking the law, suggest we all call them (withold your number and ask for their MD)

I HAVE JUST HAD THE SAME ASKING MY NEIGHBOUR IF I STILL LIVE NEXT DOOR AND HE TOLD THEM I DID AND THEN THEY ASKED FOR MY PHONE NUMBER SAYING THEY HAD A PARCEL AND A REBATE FOR ME, HE SAID HE WOULD COME AND GET ME AND THEY HUNG UP THE PHONE THERE MUST BE A WAY OF STOPPING THEM FROM DOING THAT I AM SURE IT IS ILLEGAL I AM GOING TO RESEARCH THAT THROUGH THE LAW

Thankyou Sarah these people have been bugging me for ages and have been ringing my neighbours and on the times when i have spoken to them they say they have another address for me and that I should confirm that address with them I am glad that I found this sight it really does make a difference,now I am going to see about sueing them.

I changed my number and now they are ringing my neighbours house to ask them for my phone number but be trying to shame me into ringing them never they get what I give them not a penny more and do you know the law states that if the Queens head is on the coin they can not refuse it tell them next time they ring you will drop your money down to £5.00 per month they might leave you alone

This I agree on I think they are breaking the law because if you are already paying they should
not be hounding you they should be reported and this I am already looking into

called my neighbour this morning asking for information about me . she is disabled and was very frightened as she doesnt know how they got her number, disgusting tactics, i am paying debts via the cccs and dont expect my situation to  be discussed by any company with a neighbour or anyone else without my consent

Just had a phone call from 01252 576376 , a woman asking for my brother who doesnt live here and has a different surname   , I asked her who it was calling and she said DVSL, I asked what that was and she said they were a data verification company   . Just acted daft and said I didnt know who they were talking about . After reading some of the previous posts would now like to know how they got MY telephone number .

I just had a call from this number asking about a neighbour - told them I didn't know them - which I don't - suspicious as to how they got my number as we are ex-directory

Just had a call to my mobile asking for someone else but with my previous address (moved 6 weeks ago).

This number got hold of my neighbour and asked questions about me HOW WHY are they asking strangers can they confirm i live at this address ????

This number contacted my neighbour asking for my personal details, which he didn't know. I am assuming from all the other comments that this company is a debt collection company and a nasty, illegal one at that!!! So what do I do about this???? Thoughts would be listened to.
