Got text from withheld number asking to call 01256 306796. Thought it strange that no one had rung and being a bit paranoid thought I'd google. Shows that being paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you so won't be calling them back.

recieved the same david shaw text...I dont intend on ringing,but really worried about why i got it..I mean whats the next step for them?ring?i have not got a letter from them which is very odd.
There site does look genuine but maybe they are.god only knows.

Got a text today from DAVID SHAW, I don't owe anything, and have never dealt with any of the companies mentioned here.  They won't tell me anything unless I give date of birth, address and another phone number.  When I asked why they text, they hung up. Will not be calling back.  No idea why they text or how they got my number.  All I got from them was CARS when they answered my call.

I have been having a lot of 0845 numbers call me leaving no message then today I got a text from......Yes DAVID BLOODY SHAW asking me to call him, I looked on line first and found all your message so thanks for this - as far as I know I have no debt so won't be calling him, however I may make a few harrasing calls

I have also just received a text message from David Shaw asking me to contact him URGENTLY - I did but when I refused to give by postcode details the line went dead.
I am not a customer of Love Film or Tiscali so have no idea what he wants from me.
I most certainly will not be calling back!!!

I had a text 13.25 24/03/2009 don`t know a David Shaw don`t deleted it as soon as it came through. H ave no idea whats it about and don`t care silly people !! I would think that anybody with any sence would just delete and forget if they carry on contact your service provider and say you are getting inproper texts. you could also block the number ??. Sorry I dleted the text before I found this site but the number is correct and David Shaw. Mr Shaw can go poke it where the sun don`t shine. Love and hugs to all (EXCEPT DAVID SHAW)

I received a text (anon sender) with a request for me to call Lucy Palmer URGENTLY. Has anyone got to speak to this lady at all? I've not rung the number and glad I did the sensible thing and googled the number 1st.

I got the text today, it's about fitness first for me too. to contact lucy palmer. i wont be contacting them, ill be ringing fitness first, first before dealing with people who don't have the decency to call me and just send me a text, expecting me to pay for the call.

Its no longer David Shaw - I recently got one from this number and it asked me to contact Lucy Palmer URGENTLY with a reference number...

I have been recieving calls every wednesday at the same times telling me i have a 10£ Tiscali bill to pay. It is a recorded message asking for my details 'for security purposes' of course, i do not give these details because i was suspicious. I cancelled my Tiscali account 8 months ago 4 times!!! I actually overpaid them by 30£ because i forgot to cancel the DD. I have since been ignoring these calls until today i got a text asking me to urgently contact Lucy Palmer. It seems they have changed the name from David Shaw. THIS MUST BE A SCAM. think its best to ignore it.

just got a message saying to call Lucy Palmer. A new contact. They asked me to confirm my personal details. Of course you should never do this with an unknown company. They then refused to continue the call. Interesting.

Perhaps they'll go away?

Glad I googled the number. However even if I hadn't they wouldn't have got far - as if I'm going to give personal details to an unknown company. Some people - the young or the elderly - may do however. The fact these people are ripping folk off makes my blood boil!

Its still text, followed up by a postcard about a failed Royal Mail delivery from Lowell Finacial services. All scam artists.

Got a phone text message to call Lucy Palmer URGENTLY on 01256-306796 QUOTING REF No ******* . Just googled it to find it's some scam collection agency in Basingstoke Hants called C.A.R.S. Apparently they used to use the name David Shaw... I guess they thought Lucy Palmer sounds less threatning.. Huh MORONS!!!

i have had a text from this number for my husband,but to my phone,so it had to be me that had put my contact details on a phone contact,but they wouldnt say who they were,and than they said they had sent several letters that we had chosen to ignore,i have not ignored any letters,from c.a.r.s and i have never heard of them,,,,and they quoted data protection.but its my number not my husband..thick [***].

its because of my fitness first membership which i cancelled direct debit for.

Just got an email from our friend lucy palmer (silly cow) as if im gonna ring on behalf of my ex wife! quote ref no *******.

Got a call from the number asking if could call lucy palmer with the ref, FIRST get up your back side and dial my number your self! and secondly they have NO legal grounds , especially if like me 3 month fitness first contract has come to an end...so anyway i sent Fitness first this e mail...and if they call i will give them the same abuse :) this is almost full proof people...call their bluff even if you dont have the financial means to serve a legal notice.

Dear Sir/Madam
After Joining the Fitness first  Bloomsbury Gym, WC1, in November 2008 on a three month contract, I subsequently chose to cancel my membership exactly three months on at the end of January.
After being given a number, of frankly, pathetic and desperate excuses by your staff, who in short refused and argued cannot cancel my account, I had no choice but to cancel the account myself.
The contract, was a specific three month contract, and to my horror without any prompting Fitness First continued to charge my account.
After agreeing with my bank that i was within my rights to forcefully stopping any debit payment I have continuously been contacted by your staff, I am now receiving numerous ‘texts’ from an unknown number demanding that I call them with regards to the contract.
If this unprofessional, threatening and frankly ridiculous behaviour continues by your company, and subsidiary company and / or sub contracted company acting on your behalf, I will have no option but to serve Fitness First with legal notice, inform the police and furthermore this matter WILL proceed to Media watchdogs as well as relevant regulatory bodies.
I am extremely livid over the lack of professionalism and continued harassment by Fitness First and related companies.
I hope this matter can end here, and have no reason to proceed.
