Same txt but from Lucy palmer saying urgent but I am not calling it as people are cloning phone nos be aware people !!!!!!!

I receieved a text from Lucy Palmer saying i needed to contact her urgently, with a quote reference number on 01256306796. I gave them a call but no answer, was asked to leave message.

I got a text today off the above number and after reading the comments above i will not be calling cos they look too dodgy and thanks to all the people that have sent a message this is mine to me it looks like a scam any one else that gets a text don't reply and if they are gen they will call and not text tahnk you

My son got a text from 01256 306797 with a reference number. From a LUCY PALMER so it seems David Shaw may now be recruiting. Same thing. Called them back and she said they were a debt recovery agent. Seems funny that my son Who has never had a debt in his life and is working abroad should need to contact them. Steer clear all, this seems a dodgy text to me

Just had the text "Could Jamie B please contact Lucy Palmer URGENTLY on 01256306797 Quoting Ref No 2972503" phoned them up gave my reference number and then my name as asked then they wanted me to give more details for "security" so i asked who they were she told me C A R S so I asked what it was in reference to as i wasnt just going to give my details out to a random person from a company i hadnt heard from before as she was about to explain she got cut off the line went dead i tried calling back it dialled then went dead then dialled putting 141 before the number and again line went dead problem solved just annoys me that they dont just shut these people down

I to got a text from Lucy Palmer and refused to give my details so they sent me a letter, why the hell didn't they do this in the first place. It turned out I owed Lovefilm £3.99. What a waste of time! THE SCANDAL!!

I just got a call from 'no number' askking to ring : 01256 306797 and speak to Lucy Palmer... Lucifer, more like... and palm off please!
And it is so annoying that they know my names!
Can anyone tell me how these idiots get people's names, like that? VERY SCARY!!

Yes this is a credit recovery agency.
I failed to complete the direct debit mandate so my Car insurance got cancelled and handed over to these guys to collect, I don't think it's a scam, although not a very welcome call/txt/payment but what Credit Recovery calls are?

I had to pay and move on.

i have3 got 2 messages from this number asking me to call them back urgently both with ref numbers

I just called back the number after receiving the text message. and i gave my address ...

I just sent an email to LoveFilm to make them aware of the bad practice of this company, imploring them to switch debt recovery to another firm. I'm sure I'm probably not the only person to send such a message, however, it can't hurt.

I called the other day in response to a letter and told them I'd settled the debt and returned the film (which I had) and the gentleman 'made a note' on my account. However, I just received a call from them this morning in which no-one responded when I answered. It's all a bit stupid for £10, which has been paid directly to LoveFilm already.

They are now using a different name - The message reads - Could Gibbo please contact Lucy Palmer URGENTLY on 01259 306797 & Quote Ref no: 3090977

Seems they have changed the name of the PC...

My partner got a text but it was for me, i rang them and they where so rude would not tell me what the company was or anything!

I received the following text:
"Could Miss _____ ______ please contact Lucy palmer URGENTLY on 01256 306797 Quoting Ref No 3109046"

I googled it as it looked so dodgy and ended up here.

Reading the thread, the only possible thing I can think of is that about a year ago I tried to get a phone line re-connected when I moved house.  I tried Tiscali, but they massively messed up.  My address is Flat (number) (building name) ____ Road, and they (despite my telling them specifically to make sure they didn't do this) took my address as (number)____ Road - which is not just not my address, it is someone else's address!   They gave me a number which they told me would be my new phone number, but I believe it was actually the phone number of the person at (number) ____ Road.  A BT engineer was horrified when I told him the number I had been given, and told me he couldn't tell me whose number it was, but it was not the number for my line.  So I phoned Tiscali to try to sort it out, and was told by a very abrupt young man that my address was not on their database and they therefore could not do business with me.  

I got a line with BT after that, then suddenly, many months later, Tiscali emailed me to say 'Welcome to Tiscali'. WHAT???  I emailed back, telling them what had happened (again) and all I got was an automated reply telling me that, if I wanted to cancel the contract, I had to phone a number.  I wasn't about to spend any more of my life on hold to about 15 different numbers (as had happened during the saga above - I edited a +lot+ out...) and +I didn't have a contract with them to cancel+, so I refused to, and wrote to their customer complaints address in Birmingham (? can't remember now), enclosing a print-out of the email exchange.  

And now this.  If this +is+ Tiscali I am flabbergasted at how appalling they are, and my flabber was already pretty gasted.  Presumably they have been sending rude letters to whoever lives at (number) ___ Road with my name on.  Utter, utter idiots.  I am absolutely not calling this number under any circumstances.  I don't owe Tiscali any money.  If anything, they owe +me+ money for all the time I spent on the phone to them at the time.
