I GOT A TEXT MESAGE TO MY MOTHERS  NUMBER ASKIING ME TO CONTACT RAHEL URGENTLY ON THAT SAME NUMBER THEY ALL SO GAVE ME AREFRENCE NUMBER HOW VERYB STRANGE

I got a text message from this number to call a Mr Robert Parker, from C.A.R.S. Who are these people and why do they send text messages and more importantly where do they get my number from!!!
There is no chance IM calling THEM.

I got a text message from C.A.R.S today n looked it straight up b4 i rang, glad i did im definately not calling them back. i dont even have any debt for them to call me about. thanks for the help on this page

i have had several text messages of C.A.R.S. asking to call them URGENTLY, i have only txt back to ask who they are and they never replied so i checked it out on the internet and found it was debt recovery agency. now i see they are doing this to a lot of people. i find their choice of wording very misleading and wonder if it is legal for them to do this ?

We've just had this but not through text just through a call and a message left on the landline. It was a debt with Tiscali for £11.34 which was tried to be paid for over weekend, but Tiscali kept making excuses that their Computers were down and that they couldnt take the payment.. low and behold Monday morn and these guys ring.... and £30 later!! wtf how does that work then????

sorry to burst your ranting bubble but, you and your buddies are using illegal intimidating tactics, and to be honest bewildering ones at that????

If everyone here is really some sort of debt criminal then i am sure you would use professionalism in  legal and proper way.

The mere fact that you don't only justifies that you are con artists chasing petty non existant debts in most cases.

People have the right to cancel memberships etc without this sort of unjustified harrassement and extreme exploitation of some outdated terms and conditions, that were not adhered to by the company in question anyway!!!!! this is purely a money making excerise.

If people are truly in debt then i am sure the banks would step in as well as the courts etc etc.....

so please explain why none of this is happening?????

Don't phone them, ignore them, check your calls, if harrassed by continued letters, and in an extreme case someone comes to your door, call the Police, they are using illegal intimidating tactics

The approach is to WRITE to them (if you can write) and tell them that:

They have no implied right of access.

By law (under common law, as opposed to statute law), they are legally bound to comply. If they enter your property (any part, eg the front path, if you have one and don't live in a cardboard box), you then simply telephone for a police constable (not a police officer, the aforementioned carries a warrant card), who can then detain and arrest the person(s) for trespass.

I received an "urgent call" from Lucy Palmer???? on my Mobile asking me to contact her on 01256306797. I have NO IDEA why; I have had no dealings with this person and or supposed company. I have passed my concerns to the Ombudsman and my local MP.  My next call will be to the Fraud Squad.

SMS to call 01256306797  + ref no asking to call urgently for Luc Palmer  they got my name wrong and I have rung them 3 times    each time  the call ends
This time Kelly answered  and asked the usual name, address and post code. I stated that they must already have this information as they sent me an sms.. at which point the phone went dead

I got a text from C.A.R.S. just today and i don't know why? I called and a lady answered and I quoted the reference number given and then the line just cut off? Who are they?

It appears that over a year on, dear old LUCY PALMER is still on the go!  Just got the exact same message, googled "C.A.R.S" which was what came up when I looked at my phone and this was what i was directed to.  Thanks all for posting messages, saved me a fortune!  No wonder they are a debt collecting agency, people are probably broke from them ripping them off!!!xx
