- KJH1001They keep calling me dont know who they are as i have this number barred
- Rubycall from this number and they said they were a company called Pro-active Legal from an address of 5-6 Lyric Offices, King Street, Carmarthen, Wales SSA31 1BH. The call was in connection with PPI's and they verified via ministry of justice.gov.uk web site using a number which gave details of their company. They asked for details of credit card and said they would only take the money (£239) from my account after they had sent me an email and I had replied to it giving them permission to go ahead with the query into PPI's. I called the credit card company and cancelled my card and the amount had been verified on the account. I do have the names for the people whom I spoke to. They said they work with a solicitor company called Real Times.

- Al| 3 repliesCalled today by Proactive Legl claiming thy wer an audit compnay acting on behalf of the government regadring PPI. Told him he was talking rubbish and making assumptions. He argued wnd asked what assumptions. I told him he was assuming I had taken out PPI. I suggested that if he was genuine he would have my address and write to me. He sais he only knew my name and tel num and that I was self employed. I against told him his information was wrong and asked if he worked for a ltd co - he sais he wouldn't know that. I told him I wanted th co num - he asked a manager and said they are a ltd co but he doesn't have the co num and we could look it up. Referred me to ministry of Justive webiste which confirmms nothing of what he claimed (I use MoJ website quite a bit in my work) They are clearly trying to scam people and I told him I will be investigating further.

- anasonic replies to AlI try ot beat these low-lifes at their own game so when this one rang this afternoon... silence - then the machine kicks in at the other end "Err am I err speaking with.." He didn't know who I was, so I beat him to the name he had written down and said "NO it's not! Now p*** off!" and put the phone down. Been with TPS for years but it does not deter some...
- Leonie replies to AlI received the same call with the same offer to 'verify using the Ministry of Justice website'. I asked where they bought my number from and he said the number was passed on to them from 'within the banking sector' which is false false false. I work in an investment bank and data protection would preclude us outsourcing customer numbers to a third party besides which, if you have a valid PPI claim then you can claim that back yourself, for free. There is no need to go through one of those companies.
It is a scam pure and simple.
I'm sure this won't be the last I've heard of them. - wiamcalling about ppi insurace then asking for personal details address dob and bank card numbers i said no, apparantly company callled pro active legal customer number 08435 235374 and a web site called www.justice.gov.uk chap was called aaron shaw.

- JamesJust got a missed call from then when I was at work /:
- Dirk| 1 replyJust had a call from them about PPI refund. I said I would sort it out with the bank myself, smug idiot said I'd be calling him back very soon. I knew it was wrong immediately from the way these people talk. They can barely say one sentence without putting 3 'ok?'s or 'right?'s in. Wonder where they got my number and name....

- Mel replies to DirkHad a call yesterday from a very aggressive woman. She claimed it was a "very important legal matter", then proceeded to tell me that I had been mis-sold PPI. I was out in town with my kids [actually sitting in a coffee shop] so I couldn't resort to my normal string of expletives. Instead I told her VERY firmly that I had never taken out PPI so her information was incorrect. Furthermore, if I had taken it out, there are excellent template letters on Martin Lewis's website that you can use to claim PPI for FREE.
No further calls today, but I live in an area with no mobile phone coverage. If I receive anything further, they will be reported to anyone who will listen. I don't know where they got my details as they knew my first and last names.... - PixelI am on the TPS list and this number phones me all the time!!
First for phones contracts now trying to tell me I have a payment protection insurance claim available to me. I stopped him in his tracks and said I never take PPI and I havent had a loan in the past 10 years or taken it out on a credit card. He tried to tell me I was on a list given to me by my bank, which is rubbish, he then asked if I had credit cards and if I had paid interest on them, I said maybe, he said that because I pay interest I pay ppi which again is nonsense, he told me to get my paper work out and have a look and he would ring me back at 2pm tomorrow! Before I could say no thanks he had hung up. 2pm he next day I got a call. I didnt answer it!- Call type: Telemarketer
- StuJust had a call from Jill Moore from 'Pro-active Legal' who claimed to be acting on behalf of a government agency. She explained that following a high court ruling a list of names of people who had been mis-sold PPI had been disclosed, and my name was apparently on the list. She wanted me to tell her about any loans or credit cards I had taken out over the last 10 years. I said I didn't have access to paper work so would call her back (no chance haha)!!

- Donal| 1 replyI just got a call from this number but it was silent when I picked it up. Thanks everyone for the info on them.
All I do in these cases is add them to my phone book entry called "Do Not Answer :)", which has around a dozen numbers on it by now. Then when they call, my phone very kindly tells me Do Not Answer :), I have a little chuckle to myself and let it ring out. - GavinSame experience as most with a supposed PPI claim as they are 'working with the government'.
Told them I knew the score and to remove all my details and never call again.- Caller: 01267 226750
