I understand that, allegedly, call centre staff sometimes/often steal the details they can see when processing an applications, then sell this data on where the purchaser hopes to use the above tactics to fill in the missing information. Almost certainly this is a scam of this type.

I will still contact Lloyds, but it seems many have done this to no avail. I am being hit in this manner, only days after signing up for a Lloyds TSB credit card. That is why I am pretty certain that there is a link between the application and this harassment.

Not sure LTSB will be that interested in acting on this though.

Just had a third call from this number, all after 9pm, thought the cut off was 8pm, didn't answer and no message so thought I would type number into Google and hey presto - look what I find?
Amazing that they are calling as if is LTSB, I paid their card up earlier this year so have now call barred the number on my mobile - even more amazed they have this mobile number as never given it to them or my bank as it is a company mobile and I never give the number out other than for business purposes

recieved a number of calls on mobile and today on landline from a woman claiming to be from lloyds tsb asking for personal details how do u make them stop i go into the bank each week so don`t understand the calls as normally if the bank calls it comes up as a private number so must be a scam DON`T TRUST THEM.

I work for Lloyd's and I received a call this morning I can confirm this isn't one of our departments. We would never ask you for personal details!! We'd have them all to hand and just confirm them! We would also always ring on a withheld number!!!

Why then did my Lloyds TSB manager confirm to me that this is definitely the bank's debt collection department?  I think the poster who says that call centre staff are selling on details is right.

Don't expect Lloyds to take you seriously when you go in.  Bunch of con-artists all of them..

I keep getting constant phone calls from this number! absolute idiots!
I DON'T EVEN HAVE A LLOYDS TSB ACCOUNT!
They keep asking to speak to a foreign woman, I am not her.. Wrong number!
Even when I tell them they have the wrong number they still insist on calling me 1-2 times daily for about 3 weeks now. Good fun..
Anyway, if anyone finds out who they are or what department etc they are calling from, please let me know!

this number has been calling all week, apparently its lloyds tsb credit card services, i dont have a credit card i have a debit card with them and have had no problems with it so why are they calling?

I get calls all the time and they insist I am someone I am not!  How do you suggest I sort this out? Cannot give them any info since (thankfully) do not bank with Lloyds TSB,

3or 4 times a day they call.
My number is registered on private lists yet they still call.

This is not a bogus number and relates to LTSB Credit Card collections.  
However I did not give my details or call them back on this number I dialled direct to LTSB customer service (the number on my card) and asked them to put me through.  The number is also on your statement and the LTSB website.
If in doubt never give your details but call a number you know is genuine and ask for more details.  You can trust then what you tell them is covered by DPA and FSA regulations and therefore your account details are protected

Receiving calls asking for personal details relating to a 'Personal Business Matter'. Apparently the caller is Lloyds TSB.

Quite aside from the fact this caller phoned on a BANK HOLIDAY.

Do not believe a word of it.

This number called my landline at 10:11 today. Left blank message, but I got their phone number from 1471.

2 calls from this nr late at night.  first hung up after a couple of seconds.  rangs straight away again, then left part message stating some 0845 nr without any further details/message.  annoying!!!!!!

Called tonight at 18:00 (no one spoke)

many calls. Had one at 8am this morning. As I amIN MY 80's I was very worried
in answering the call so early. All calls have been asian accents with british names.
How can I stop them as it is very upsetting.

They told me that they were cauling from LLoyds Tsb and they had to veryfye my securty details before telling me what it was about? They asked for my date of burth and I told tham I was not answering them and hung up.

I called back afer getting a silent call today --- there is an automated message asking you to dial
0845 600 6297 - LTSB between 10:00am - 20:00hrs Sunday or 08:00 - 21:00hrs weekday to discuss with them.

I don't have any Lloyds accounts --- so if I get chance I might just call them for fun :-)

unfortunately lloyds do use that number BLS collection an indian call centre for LTSB collections
