To Adam and Chris above that companys number is 01313012948 not 0131301290, an easy mistake to make as the 0 at the end has a / through it to make it look like an 8.

telephone@ipsos-mori.com   I hope they get the message it was sent 100 times, see if they like it!!!!!!

Em...if you send an email 100 times it will likely be filtered out as spam, by the way.

Best to maybe try just sending it once? Then they will definitely get it.

A web-search and some digging directed me here, not a very sociable time to call on a Sunday.

These people have called all day today (Sunday!!! ) How do I get them to stop??

I don't think so - they stop calling at 7pm on Weekends.
All the people who post nonsense on here just make the other people who don't read the comments properly believe they have more to complain about than they actually do.
TPS - read what has already been osted here or contact them and they will explain.
Ex directory just means your number is not listed in a directory. if a company gets your number from any other source - eg an organisation you have had contact with - they then may use it to contact you.

Just tell them you are not interested - its not rocket science

Fact,these muppets at Ipsos Mori, don't listen to anyone that does tell them to stop phoning.

I have done so on MANY occassions and sent them emails.

The idiots still keep phoning,my number is ex-directory as well as TPS listed,they have been told to stop but do they listen? No.

just had a call from them at 10.17am on a saturday morning. got me out of bed from a night shift trying to run to the phone before the answer machine kicked in, as once that starts, I can't answer the phone as normal (my phone's crap!). no message left. judging by the comments here, I'm expecting them to call back.

I work for IPSOS MORI and although I do agree we are open too late we are just doing a job. The numbers are got from random digital dialing so we have no idea what the number we are calling is. If you dont want to be contacted ever again from MORI you have to ask to be put on the do not contact list and then give your number to a supervisor who will put your details into the system so that when the computer generates numbers it checks to not call that one. We dont have a list of numbers so cant "take you off the list"

If you simply refuse and hang up we wont call you back for the same survey but your number wont be saved as a do not call(because we dont know it, as you havent given it to us) so could be called again another time.

It is purely market research and we arent trying to sell anything and are just wanting some information. If you dont want to take part all you need say is no thank you and we hang up, we never push you into it.

just had a third call from ipsos mori, asking for my views on whatever, when I stated that I do not do telephone calls like this, she hung up. perhaps your company should spend a bit more on politeness rather than random dialing, which I'm sure is illegal somewhere in eyes of law.

Had a couple of missed calls from this number over the past couple of days, but managed to eventually catch them about an hour ago. They are indeed from Ipsos Mori and wanted to carry out a survey, but I just politely declined and asked to be put on their "do not contact" list, which they were happy to do.

I know calls like this are frustrating, but in this case there is an easy mechanism for getting your number removed so you may as well go ahead and use it!  

(And just a final rant about ex-directory numbers: my number is ex-directory too...but as mentioned before, all that means is that it's not listed in any directory.  There's nothing to stop someone - human, machine or other - punching the string of numbers that make up my telephone number - OR ANY TELEPHONE NUMBER, EX-DIRECTORY OR NOT - into a telephone and calling it.)

I have been getting calls from this number for about a week now. I googled the number and found this page. The calls come once or twice a day at very random times! I have had enough now and want them to stop!

Keep getting calls from this number, but even if I get there in time to answer it, I just get a continual tone.
