Report a phone call from 01313012940 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- carole windrossplease take my number off you calling records
- CharlI had a call from this number yesterday at 17.02 I didn't answer as I was out and didn't hear it ring! I dotn know who they are or were they have gotten my mobile number from but I've only had the sim for around 3-4 months and haven't signed up to anything :/ strange!
- kayarGetting repeated calls from this number for about 6 days now. Knew better than to answer it. Thanks to this site, I now know who is calling! As with everyone else, I'm supposed to be ex-directory and am registered with TPS.
Previously had similar problems with BT's "carefully selected business partners"! Yeah right! They wanted to 'sell' me 'Infinity'. Same repeated calling pattern. Planning moving my broadband and land line away from BT as soon as my minimum contract period complete. Never again!
Going to keep a call log over the next few days before I escalate my complaint and make clear my displeasure with this latest 'invasion' of my privacy. Take cover! He-he-he!
Wish me luck? - kayar replies to mori4lyfe| 1 replyNo 'mori4lyfe', it would be EASIER if these nuisance calls weren't made in the first place.
Are you not prepared to acknowledge that the huge majority of complainants on this site report that they are ex-directory and are registered with the TPS? They do that for a reason - they wish their phone line to remain private and for personal use only. These calls are wholly unsolicited, and are an invasion. If they wanted to get calls from all and sundry, they wouldn't have chosen to be ex-directory, would they? Which part of that is so hard for you to grasp? People who are ex-directory and have registered with the TPS, have in doing so expressed a prior preference - not to be contacted. They didn't sign up to allow any exceptions to that (e. g. IBSOS Mori).
THERE IS NO DEFENCE,! - kayar replies to mori4lyfeNo 'mori4lyfe', it would be EASIER if these nuisance calls weren't made in the first place.

THERE IS NO DEFENCE OR MEANS OF JUSTIFICATION. - Nan replies to kayarSadly, TPS cannot (or will not) stop Market Research calls. I would, however, want to know why they were ringing an e-directory number. The 0131 number is Ipsos Mori in Edinburgh. You can, if you wish make a complaint via their website and also ask them why they are ringing an ex directory number. I have today instructed them to remove my details from ALL (that is important) their data bases and not to contact me again. They are, believe it or not, a reputable company, and this action should suffice. They have several offices all over the UK and asking for removal of your details from ALL data bases should stop calls from all the offices.
- ChopsWell it's clearly been pestering people with unsolicited calls as I got one yesterday (25 Jan 2012) Luckily by the time I had run to the phone - thinking it might be an important call - it had gone to voice mail. Surprise Surprise no message was left
- Caller: Don't know - got there too late
- andy cameronsick to death of getting calls from this number BT should put a stop to it
- BaggyI've just had an unsolicited call from this number on my mobile. Not happy as I am on call as part of the emergency services and thought it was a call out. I was still sleeping. I asked them how they got my number and they said it was randomly generated after the 07. I don't believe a word of it. They were Mori from Scotland. I asked them to take me off their database immediately. They claimed thre isn't a database as it was randomly generated. I saw another post on page 1 where somebody said they mainly get these calls after any call to Sky TV. Gues who I called last night on my home phone but they confirmed my mobile number? Yep, Sky TV. Coincidence?
- Caller: Mori
- Call type: Survey

- kayar| 4 repliesOk everyone, here's a bit more wood to throw into the fire!
There have been a number of contributors to this site that have offered words of explanation and defence - namely that:
(1) These numbers are randomly generated by their equipment, and so there is no way of avoiding x-directory and TPS registered numbers. Rubbish! The technology has existed for many years that would enable random number generating equipment to incorporate a filter to avoid x-directory and TPS registered numbers. The truth is, these companies don't want to use it; and have clearly chosen not to.
(2) These companies will leave you alone if you politely ask to be added to their 'do not call' list. Wrong! If we have opted to be x-directory, and have registered with the TPS; then unsolicited calls should be something we may choose to opt into, rather than have to opt out of AFTER our privacy has already been invaded. Have we not already expressed our preference in not wishing to be contacted, by being x-directory and by registering with the TPS?
The employees who work for these organisations are aware that the equipment they are working with will also generate the numbers of people who are x-directory/TPS registered. That they seem to feel no conflict within their conscience is very regrettable.- Caller: IPSOS/MORI
- creesybearHad 3 calls from this number. Didn't actually take the calls and then looked up number. Now glad I didn't pick up.

- LTGot a call from this number twice (11.30 a.m. and noon). Went to answering machine. Thanks for flagging up that this is MORI. We all need to be pro-active to have some peace and quiet!
- emmaJust had a call from this number 2 minutes ago and missed it. Glad i did as it seems it's some telepest from whats said on here. How annoying, you sit down for the evening just for them to call!
- Thomas Hallford replies to GerryIm sorry but two telephone calls does not amount to harrasment, if you report to police that someone has called you twice they are likly to laugh at you.
If however, you advised them not to call you and they continue to call then that is a different story.
Once question you could as is that you have not agreed for your information(telephone number) to be given to TP. There, they have obtained your information via a breach of the Data Protection Act. I am sure they wont ring you again after that comment. - pizz replies to Ross Wheeldonphoned my mobile! what a cheek! and how did they get my mobile number?
