For someone who can't even formulate a sentence correctly (read "pattern in the scientific literature"), you seem to have very strong ideologies about how they should be paid, if indeed they aren't already "a boss".

What is socially acceptable, and what is legally acceptable are very different things. I find your comments socially acceptable. But unfortunately the police, nor anyone else will give a damn about it.

Man up, answer the phone, tell them not to call. Solved. 15 seconds of time on the phone, or an hour  whining about it on an internet forum, and still having a problem. You decide.

missed call, didnt know who it was.

missed call, was unsure of caller. went online too see where they were calling from then saw im not the only one!..they shouldnt even have my number, will ignore them in future.

I have recived two calls from this number over the past two months, and on my last phonebill I got charged for ringing some number I never called.

I did tell them that I did not want to take part in the survey, but the guy replied in a serious tone "this is an official call"....You can imagine what I answered...

9 times today! How do they think people are willing to collaborate? There must be a scam!

I got a call from this number today. (12:24pm), Did not answer.

As usual and like many others, I searched on Google for the number and was lead here as a result.

Again no message left.  I wonder what they are up to?

3 times today!!! have been hounding me for over a month and havent picked up, 15+ times! Their persistent, i was beginning to think it was important as they have rang so many times! then i googled and found this, seems so strange. I don't get any other random number

Had so many calls from this number over a period of a few weeks. Never answer, looked it up and found this. Furious!! Will they stop eventually??!

Been called by the number 0131 301 2940 nearly 20 times in 2 weeks. They always ring between 9 and 4  and as a school teacher I cannot answer. I always wondered who it was as I thought it must be important as they have rung so many times. So naturally I wanted them to ring after 4 so I could find it who it was. After looking on here I'm glad they never ring after 4 and that I never answered it!! Really annoyed they have managed to get my mobile number.

This number keeps calling me and I have no idea who it is. It keeps happening each day around 7/8pm!

This number has been ringing me for days now - 2/3 times a day! Just got a call now at 20:52 and I asked them if they don't think it's a little late for that... the guy replied that they close at 9pm! Do i care? DON'T PICK UP! WASTE OF TIME!

You call yourself a Scientist. Resorting to cheap insults about peoples' intelligence is not exactly a scientific approach, so if that is the best you can do then I would be more worried about your own job. I genuinely hope you aren't bothered by any more calls asking for your opinions, because from your replies in this forum it's clear that they are not of any great value.

they call me today at 8.30pm and yesterday at 11am i pick up and didn't say anything cuz i don't know who is was! i'm not from UK so they couldn't even say my name right!! i'm like wtf?!?! and just hang up the phone!! wtf did they get my number?!?!
