Solutions:
1) Contact them via their website and get them to remove your number.
2) If you're bored and have the time give them spurious information and mess up their surveys.
3) Answer and leave the phone off the hook, that costs them money.
4) Tell them you'll charge them £100 per hour or part thereof for taking part in their survey.

Not as bad as the scammers but they should know better than to call numbers randomly.

Got a call from them this afternoon (Sunday 09/03/2014).  Didn't answer it cos they rang a couple of days ago and hung up when my girlfriend answered it. Who are they?

I thought this was a scammer number too but in fact this is a genuine company.  Like someone else on this thread, I was told by my university to expect a call from Ipsos Mori regarding a student survey, which had been sent to me by email and I had not filled it in.  Plenty of other scam companies out there but it you do receive a call from this one, it may be worth double-checking whether it is to do with something you are involved in, eg the Open University.

Ipsos MORI. Go to the site, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the option to 'contact', then fill in the details selecting the reason for contact as 'unwanted calls'. Let's stop this b****.

Phoned everyday last week and twice on a sunday didnt answer and came straight on here PAINS

This number keeps ringing about twice a day. Dont know who it is. I have caller display to help reject unwanted calls. It is still a nuisance.

i also have had several calls from this number.  As soon as i answer the call disconnects

Have had several missed calls from this company both from this number and from 02088618682 on a private work-only phone. Pests!!!!!

Phone calls all week and even today (Sunday 4pm) - unanswered!  Am on TPS so not happy

Twice had a all from these people, I didn't answer and would not have agreed to take part in any survey, the last call a few minutes ago Sunday 1030. "My Family Time". No legitimate firm would call on Sunday.  TPS registered and ex directory! Sick of it!

Phones me several times a week obviously using an auto dialler which I have heard rumours are illegal! The call has gone through to answerphone as this happens so often I no longer answer until I know whoever is calling is not a telemarketer! :(

I am ex-directory which is why I believe an auto-dialler is used as a ladies gym near me has admitted to doing the same, I may contact Ofcom for information about auto diallers and their legality!

Perfectly legit survey from iPsos mori. Did survey as was on behalf of national careers service which I had good dealings with. Caller very polite throughout

The man said he was doing a survey for the Office for Fair Trading regarding housing.

20.25 that's half past 8 on a bank holiday monday, kids in bed and bang phone ringing, we're x-directory, we're TPS but apparently Ipsos are above checking, why should I have to contact them to ask to be removed when they should be checking the numbers THEY DIAL against the TPS list, it's not rocket science and until they can be bothered to ensure they don't disturb people on a bank holiday at half 8 at night I cannot be bothered to even answer them anymore let alone answer stupid, idiotic questions.....here's an opinion    GET A REAL JOB AND STOP ANNOYING HARDWORKING PEOPLE

Sorry, but TPS specifically does NOT cover Market Research calls.  Check out their Home Page for this information.  The onkly thing TPS covers (and then very badly) are calls from reputable UK Sales/Marketing companies which sign up to the Voluntary Code. If you get a call from any other UK based Sales/Marketing company you can report the call to TPS but all they can do is ask the company not to call you.  TPS has no legal standing but can pass your complaints on to the ICO who will get round to doing something if they get enough complaints.  Frankly, life is too short and I use a call blocking 'phone.  Result being I choose who gets through on my 'phone.
