Have had several missed calls form this number today and have used Go compare, Confused.com and several small companies, so definatly related to Car insurance but whcih one?? i ignored!!

I had a voicemail from this number and it said "dont spread diseases" sounds like a wind up to me

As stated earlier Its Swintons , trying to sell policies on top of your car insurance , ive been with Swintons for 6 months and they call every week, have answered several of these call and told them im not interested but they keep calling

my new samsung phone has got a very helpful 'reject' caller list for just these sort of little annoyances that continually blight our lives

More of the unwanted Calls,  got to be Swinton  insurance, be customer for years, I'm over 50 but have a no contact agreement with Swinton Why??

It's Swinton. I am now actually with them but this call is marketing from one of the comparison sites -go compare/compare the market/money supermarket...I got a quote there last year & got so many calls/emails after that I didn't use the sites this year...unfortunately, they save your info & start it all again when it's renewal time so this is one of MANY calls!

I use optoutuk.com to stop the calls -it's good for blocking all sorts of rubbish calls/texts etc & can do all your phones...

...I have also updated my saved details on the above websites to fake phone numbers so hopefully that will be the end of that!

They call on average 3 times a day. If you need quotes it's best to give your old mobile number

We keep getting annoying calls from this number. No one seems to be at the other end. Please stop ringing.

i got a call after using compare the market, didn't answer and i'm not going to now i know they are trying to sell me things grrrr lol!!

I am with Swinton, but for home insurance only, maybe they are trying to sell me car insurance too? They can sod off, I'm sick of the calls 2-3 a day, its ridiculous!

If you are already a customer Swinton are at liberty to contact you.     See the documentation that you got with your Home Insurance which should both confirm that fact AND tell you how to opt out of the calls.  If the paperwork does not include those details, look up Section 11, Data Protection Act, 1998 and issue Swinton with a "Notice" under that Act.           If that does not stop them your local Court will be happy to help.

I had a quote from Swinton today and just received a call from this number so i guess its them.  As its 20:50 i havent answered....bit late for more sales surely!

This number telephoned me but when I picked up there was background noise but no-one answered.   Perhaps they want us to have the expense of telephoning them back!     Monday 26 April at 5.35 pm

I spoke to the lady who dealt with my car insurance and she gave me a customer services number which is:   0845 1683770
Spoke to a very helpful person who said he would e-mail them and ask for my number to be removed.
Might be worth doing the same.

Never had an insurance quote, never had a car or motorbike. These calls are totally unsolicited and should be illegal.

I have household insurance with Swinton.  I answered the call and there was no-one there.

average of 1 call a week so far from swinton, will never insure with them again will not take NO for an answer, insurance scam costs my 18 year old £3500 a year rip off con merchants should be a law against getting ripped off just as their is a law against having no insurance

This number repeatedly calls our landline (01422 249611), I have constantly asked them to QUIT CALLING!  We have 7 insurance policies with Swinton, a brilliant relationship with our local office, and I have told these PESTS I will cancel my policies if they keep on.  Looks like I will need to change my insurers as they have called us 6 times this week!
