also had a call from swinton - 3 times now. never had a policy with them, and dont want one. this is just sales harassment

Given this number was reported in April 2008 I am amazed it is still a problem. Having received a number of cold calls from Swinton reps I also received a silent messege on call minder. After some digging I obtained the following number 01612333676 and spoke to to a Mr Andrew Davis. I informed him in no uncertain terms that this was to stop. He required my name, telephone number, date of birth etc in order to check his database! So that he could remove my details. So give him a call 01612333676.

It was a call from Swinton. I do have household insurance with them, and they were trying to sell me other services.

I'm more than happy with their household insurance but I just asked them not to call me in future about other offers.

They were polite and said they would mark the file so I wasn't called again.

I did my insurance quote beginning of June on comparison sites and now 2 months later I am still getting them. I know it is swinton as I rang them back. Very tempted to give them some abuse as it is daily I am receiving these calls.

I got the same phone call, on doing 14713 i got "Thank you for trying the asterisk open source PBX" looked on google it seems to be one of those random call generators or VoIP

Same as everyone else really. recently used an insurance comparison site, and now get calls from this number at least 3 times a day.  Very annoying!!

keep getting calls from this number, but no-one replies when i pick up.  unlike others on here, i HAVEN'T been asking about insurance and am TPS registered, so whoever is doing this is committing an offence.

Swinton calling about free life cover. Used several compare websites when looking for car insurance. Almost not worth using them!

Got automatic answer machine message Thankyou for trying out the aftercall open source pd(either 'f' or 'x'). It sounds like a company rip-off making money from call-backs. I am told that it is Swinton Colonade, in which case you can send them an invoice for your time and money that the call-back cost.

Go to http://www.swinton.co.uk/contact/  then go to 'customer feedback'
Fill in form with name of Mr. Andrew Davis, date of birth 30/01/1964 (execution of Charles I with swopped last digits, or any other date you think relevant or interesting)
Give false house number (two digits only is best); alter last letter of your post code.
As Daytime and Evening phone number use 01422 249611, which will put them in a loop.
As Mobile phone number use 01612 333676 (which is for Mr Davis of Swinton customer complaints)
Put 'No' to existing customer and ' Please send relevant details asap ' in comments.
This company has been irritating lots of people for several years now. Automatic messages are a two edged weapon.
The details automatically fill in on the form after you have filled it in once, so it is possible to send it as may times as you can be bothered. Enjoy.

Don't ever get insurance form Swinton ... your local branch will call you many times just trying to sell you other insurance.

get calls from 01422249611 no answer.i called back once cos got parents in hospital and thought could be to do with that,but just automated crap.these want stopping.i,ve been on comparison sites for insurance so could be that.swinton do have my number from previous.

MADE THE MISTAKE OF GIVING  PHONE NO TO GO COMPARE  I WOULD LIKE IT TO STOP

OMG this company is now driving me mad.  They have called me numerous timese where i have answered the calls and they even expect me to give them my details over the phone, when i refused he persisted in saying he had my details anyway, which he gave me and they were my old address.  I have now just turned my phone on to find 16 missed calls......Desperate or what !!

We have had 6 calls up to now of which the person they are calling from this number is for a Mr Buckler, and the callers (which are different each time)  claims to be from Swinton Insurance, we have asked them to keep calling us, and they appear to know where this person lives which is Essex Road, Off Rectory Lane Standish Wigan Lancashire.

I had a call from this number on the 26th January 2012 WHO IS SWINTON INSURANCE telling me they were giving me free life insurance untill May 2012 he said he had my details in front of him but still asked for my date of birth and my bank details ???? I dident give them to him and he wasent a happy Bunny Opps !! these people need stopping mithering people I wont use SWINTON INSURANCE AGAIN !!

I have filled in 3 forms as you discribed Thanks hope this helps  he-he and Swinton can stuff there Insurance in Future I took out the insurance for the Legal Cover and had nothing but CRAP off them since they are a typical Insurance  ( Idont want to pay out ) lets hope this rocks their boat a little.
