- sarabean replies to SHHi this is Swinton insurance, just please check your small print on any policy taken out with them as they set up breakdown cover and life insurance policies (on top of my car insurance) and did not notify me, I only dicovered this whilst checking direct debits with my bank and I had been paying for both of these for 4 months without realising!
- Steve OKeep getting these calls, got car insurance from Swinton Insurance, they said they would not abuse my details, do not believe them - they do.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MichaelI have tried ringing this number and just got a recorded message to say they had called (today). Duh!. It also said if I wanted to receive no more calls I should call 01274 838 111, so I did. Guess what? another recorded message saying all their operators were busy. I have tried several times and got the same every time. Have now complained to Ofcom and Telephone Preference Service.

- tonigot 3 calls on my mobile today and two on my house phone. didn't answer any of them; my partner did and she told me it was someone from Swinton asking to speak to me.
this is extremely p***ing me right off now, if i don't ask for something it means i don't want it! is that hard for some to understand?!!.

- LittleredThis number keeps calling my phone... It puts the phone down when I answer, so annoying.
- AnjiKeep getting calls from this no on home phone and mobile. Tend not to answer numbers I do not know. I do have Swinton policy but do not like the fact that they do not leave a message and keep pestering. Could be unsettling to some people. Should be stopped.
- T Wood| 1 replyI chose Swinton insurance because they appeared to offer the best deal for my car insurance. They immediately loaded the cost by an extra £50, telling me that I would receive £50 in cashback three months after taking out the policy. It hasn't been repaid to me yet, and when I rang to query this their Ipswich office said it would take a further month as I had bought the policy online !!!!!! They now pester me every day trying to sell me further products. The number ringing me is 01422 249611. They must be joking. I would never ever use this company again.

- Jack UrenI have received a number of calls from this number, and the message is always the same, it looks like the cost of each reply is 10p, and the message is " Googby, thank you for trying out the Asterisk Open Source," quite what this is about I have no idea.
- Caller: Swinton Collonade
- Jack Uren replies to T WoodHi,
To ad to your posting, I have had the same calls, and from "Swinton Collonade" same number as you have listed, reply calls cost me 10p each. Any way, I have for a number of years used Swinton Car Ins from Colchester, and when they contacted me a month ago to re-new my wifes car ins, they quoted me over £240 for Fire and Theft, I informed them that I thought it a little expensive, and that I would be having a look on line before making up my mind, needless to say they called me back every second day, and informed me about the cash back after three month's. I then went on line, " Confused.com", lo and behold, Swinton was up there, put in the cars information, and was qouted, £ 145, for exactly the same cover???? I phoned the branch back, told them what I had found, and asked for an explnation, and the reply was that they had no idea how I managed to get that price?? Needless to say, I purchased on line. Hope this helps for your next Car Ins - mrs Barbara Pugh2 calls to mobile 1 call to home phone I do not know who the caller is afraid to call back in case this is a scam and will cost me money
