ARGHHHHHHHHHH theyv done it agen, jsut now, this has been goin on practically daily for a good few weeks, now i know who it is, they will be getting a nasty call. iv never had an opperater at the other end and its p!$$!ng me off1!!!! :@

I did a couple of insurance quotes online on monday and directly after i logged off the computer i was getting phone calls! I havent answered 1 call yet cos i have always missed them. i left the box blank to say i did not wish to recieve any information and yet they still call!!!! It is getting annoying now!!!

Have been using confused.com recently and have been getting numerous unsolicited calls from various numbers including this one. Extremely unhappy that my request not to have my information shared was utterly ignored

is there some small print on the site that says they can call since I am listed with a telephone preference service to stop this happening and they still called

I've had two silent calls from this company today after using gocompare.com

I've had two calls from this number today, I answered both times but got dead air. I'm sure a television covered this issue (maybe watchdog) I'm gonna look into it and also maybe phone swinton on a proper number and suggest they desist before I take action for abusive/upsetting phone calls.

I have had numerous calls from this number and others since obtaining quotes on confused & gocompare. I have not answered them because I do not recognise the numbers. Unfortunately they are allowed to call even though I am registered with th Telephone Preference Service because of the terms and conditions and having made the initial contact. The best way to avoid this is to give a false number (make sure it is not someone elses though)

Just a suggestion.     When using price quote services never give out your genuine contact number.    For years I've used a free service from YAC.com which allows me a number that can be give out to take these nuisance calls.   If they leave a message it is converted to an email to my PC, which I click on to listen to the message or to read a Fax.   It costs the senders a premium rate which gives me a warm glow.   Great free service and, as I say, I've been using it for around 5 years continuously.

I asked for a quote on gocompare. This number has called me 5 times since 10 this morning, everytime i pick up, there is no one there. It's really annoying, especially when they don't say anthing. Really bad customer service.

Yes i used confused.com and have been getting many weird numbers ringing including 01422249611 and no one being there on the other end!! Very annoying considering i only changed my number four months ago because i was getting so many of these calls!!

Yes it is when you fill in a quote on 'Go Compare'. I got a call this morning straight away after leaving the website and I told them bollx cos I wasn't interested yet and was just looking.  Then 45 mins later I get one of these dodgy annoying calls from this number and when I answered  there was no one there and it went dead.  Bar Stewards!!!!

I have not used any of the websites you mention but still getting the calls.
Now, I never give my number to websites.
I do however, have a policy through Swinton Insurance having been to one of thier shops/offices.

So there is the common link - not gocompare or confused but Swinton using the supplied information to advantage.

I have rang the number which then gives you another number to stop the calls: 01274 838272. I then rang this number which was Swinton Insurance whom i have had no dealings with, nor input my phone number on any web sites. It appears somebody had input my phone number when looking for quotes as it was against a persons name whom i do not know. They have now blocked the calls.

Don't answer the call knowbody is on the other end!!!! who know's if we are getting charged for this. I think it may be related to gocompare.com!!!
